The 2007 Pan American Games will be held July 13-29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the men's basketball competition slated for July 25-29.

this seems great and all, but how respectable can you really call this squad? aside from roy and a couple of other hot shots, this looks like somehwat of a rag-tag band decimated by early departures for the draft. lets just hope this doesnt turn out like the olympics! power up big fella!! (but don't get hurt of course)

I remember when big Roy was on BETs 'Mad Sports' when he was 13. I really don't remember anything from the segment besides them being on a pool table(from what I remember)... I dont use you-tube, but I am thinking it can found there for those that might be interested in viewing.

Since they aren't getting pros to go the Pan Am games, I think that's a pretty good list.

Would a Neitzel, Lofton, Foster, Dorsey, Hibbert Lineup be that bad? With players like Derrick Low, Brandon Costner and Maarty Luenen off the bench?

In my starting lineup, I'd sub Costner for Dorsey, either Josh Carter or Bryce Taylor for Foster, and maybe Maynor for Neitzel (making Neitzel instant offense off the bench). I don't think Dorsey's game will translate at the international level.

Yeah, I just put Dorsey in there because he's such a stud.

But a Neitzel-Lofton-Foster-Costner-Hibbert lineup would be awesome. Spread it out and if they double -- automatic three.

Neitzel, Foster and Lofton would have shot 50% from three on the Hoyas.
