Anyone got ideas about where to watch the game on Thursday? If so I'd love to meet up to watch it. I work in downtown crossing but live in Somerville...any location is good.

Boston, Shmoston! You guys can't get it together. Here's where the board's North Dakota Hoyas (yes, all of us---ok, all one of us) are meeting for the game. ps That ain't really me in the pic. If it were me i'd have my WE ARE GEORGETOWN shirt on. Well, that and pants.

Jack has reported to me that the Sports Depot in Allston is back in business with excellent new tvs. Until it shut down last year, it always had Hoya games from Front Court so I suspect it will have the game tomorrow. JJ and I enjoyed the Burton lay-up there and the Hampton State win in what seems like an eternity ago.
You may want to call the Depot to confirm, but I would be surprised if it is not available.

Cambridge - I'd love to meet up at the Depot. Only problem is school. We have a semester-long project due 9am on Saturday and will likely be working into Thursday night. If I can get out, I'll meet you there? I'll have my "We Are G'Town" shirt on tomorrow.
GO HOYAS!!!

YES, the Sports Depot IS back. It was like Captain's Wharf or something for a year, but enough people complained and it got changed back.
Cambridge and other Boston Hoyas - I called Sports Depot to be sure, and they said they WILL have the GU game. And screw my group - I'M GOING!!! I may only see 2 Hoya games this year (Ill. on TV and when they visit BC), so I'll be damned if I'm going to miss a game against the #1 team in the land.
If anyone wants directions on how to get there via the T, let me know.
GO HOYAS!!!

Alright, called the Sports Depot and they have ESPN Full Court. They said that they'll show any game requested... Good News: C's don't play until 10:30 UConn doesn't play UMass until 9PM B's are locked out Not-so-good News: BC plays HC at 7:30PM However, I think we have a great shot at getting the biggest TV with the #1 team in the country involved. Maybe someone should post on an Illini board as well...get them out to the bar and have a make a spirited evening of it. I will be heading there after work with a few Gtown grads from the early 2000s classes ('00 to '02). We'll have our We Are Gtown t-shirts on and acting like idiots. www.sportsdepotboston.com/www.sportsdepotboston.com/contactus.aspSee you guys there! WE ARE GEORGETOWN!

Cambridge and other Beantown Hoyas -
Below is the GU Full Court package, and thus the games I will be watching at Sports Depot. If we can, we should get a good group of people - local alumni club or something - and ask the Depot if we can reserve a specific TV for all games. Kind of what the Bills Backers of Boston does at The Harp for Bills games on Sundays.
Either way, all of the following games have been put into my Outlook calendar and I'll see whoever else goes at each of em!!!!
GO HOYAS!!!

Do you really? That's fantastic! I've been looking for a place to watch GU games since my first year of grad school in 02-03 when the Depot closed. I always went alone to Coolidge Clubhouse or Depot but now it appears I have a crew to join! BOO YAH!
Look for me tomorrow... Quebec Nordiques hat, W.A.G. t-shirt.
LET'S GO HOOOOO-YAS!!! BAM...BAM...BAM, BAM, BAM!!! LET'S GO HOOOOO-YAS!!! BAM...BAM...BAM, BAM, BAM!!! LET'S GO HOOOOO-YAS!!! BAM...BAM...BAM, BAM, BAM!!! LET'S GO HOOOOO-YAS!!! Okay the cast of thousands was a slight exaggeration...it may be a cool half dozen to a dozen on a good day. Hahaha!
Last year we used to watch the games at a friends house who had Direct TV and the full court package. Unfortunately he followed the siren song to NY and took our satelitte feed with him. Curse him! Oh well, we've been looking for a new location ever since. Sports Depot seems as good a location as any.

I wonder if our esteemed Needham-based moderator will take a night off from fighting virulent disease and bring his five year-old to help chaperone this Hoya night out at the Depot?

My 5 year old will be a hard sell - she likes her Conte hot dogs and the Eagle ... but I will see what negotiating skills I can muster between now and then...

I was the floor above the level you walk in on. So is that 4th or 5th? I can't remember the math. I never went below that "ground" floor except for laundry. What floor would I have lived on?

In Village C West, that was 5th. Which is where I was and the only reason I remember that was because it was a daily decision whether to use the stairs or the elevator.
