The air movement generated from Vernon Macklin running powers windmills to generate electricity for DC Metro.

There is a rumor circulating on campus (I believe it is entirely credible) that during this off-season Vernon by himself will finish both the MSFand the boat house and get approval and funding for a 6,000-person on-campus arena.

That's it? I thought he was going to work hard this offseason? I mean, if he were trying, he'd get a 10K seat on campus arena.

How is that going too far, would it really be bad if suddenly Vernon was better than Roy.
That would give us a better frontline than most Eastern Conference teams

Vernon Macklin is a 7'10, 500 pound, s.o.b. Once the Vern and I drove into an open field. He said "let's have a drink". I said "Vern, there's no bar here". He said "Wait". Six months later a bar was built around the car. Vern got out ordered a scotch, drank it, and set the place on fire. As I ran out of the blazing bar I could hear the Vern cackling and yelling "Always finish what you started."

I think the new starting Lineup looks like: C Roy PF Ewing Jr. SF Summers SG Sapp PG Wallace Not too much change, because it seems like you have to keep the starting backcourt and summers after their performances last year and in the tournament, however I think freeman may get like 10-15 of sapp's minutes at the 2, and 5-10 minutes of summers' time at the 3, and then Chris Wright will spell Wallace. For our top players, this would be it. But perhaps having Ewing off the bench will be better because we'll need someone like that leading the back-up squad, and he's great off the bench. That said, if you start Vern and Roy, then you don't have a strong Roy replacement, so maybe Vern off the bench to replace Roy makes more sense, and he can also spell Dajuan or PEJ at the 4. The biggest thing esp with Jeff gone is get the ball to Roy. He shoots 70% and you can't beat that.

Something I'm curious about -- I always thought Vernon was a power forward in high school -- not a center?

Vernon was once in a 4g inverted dive with a MiG28. He has a great Polaroid of it.
