Wallace is awesome and he's been my favorite player for the last two years since I got here but after Conley Jr., OSU's MVP last night in my opinion, exposed our guards with his quickness, I am starting to wonder what will happen next season. I mean, Wallace is really really good at what he does and plays really smart, and that's why he's my favorite player, but I just can't shake this feeling that Chris Wright will just bring better tools to the table in terms of speed and ability to create his own shot. I don't know. Does anybody else think this could happen? Wallace and Sapp are experienced, starting guards who know the GEORGETOWN offense (and defense) inside and out. They will start. Wallace is a luxury -- he will be a four year starter at PG. That doesn't happen too often. Freeman and Wright will get a LOT of minutes. At the 1 and 2 for Wright and maybe for Freeman, the 2 and 3. But I wouldn't be worrying too much about J Wally. Maybe we'll have more defensive subsitutions at times vs. the few ultra quick guards we face, but however it works out... Jon Wallace will be starting and he'll be playing major minutes. The kid is a winner.

Why do people keep referencing Jon Wallace as an attorney? Has he mentioned something or is this just speculation?

Wallace will have an in-and-out knowledge of the entire Georgetown offense. He will be the first PG in the JT3 era at GU with a complete 3-year backlog.
Plus, he makes the very most of every opportunity, is a solid leader and the perfect "QB" for the offense.
He will be more of a difference maker in his senior year than even this season -- and he had a couple of HUGE shots that propelled this run.

Jon Wallace has been my personal favorite Hoya since his first game, how can anyone not respect and love the walk-on path to everyday starter story of Wallace? I think he will pass-up the minor payday he can have in Europe and be an excellent attorney or coach. JT3 will need a guy like Wallace with 4 years of experience in the system, but Wallace just seems like a kid with more on his mind than just shooting a basketball.
As for next year, Wallace and Sapp will start. Depending on who comes back (Roy and/or Jeff) we may have a unique line-up next season (3 guard set) to take advantage of the incoming frosh. Any assumption Wright takes over this offense at PG next season seems to be a bit far-reaching. Wright and Freeman know the deal, fellow McD All-American V-Mack spent the entire season learning from Roy how to play the center position in our offense. Wright/Freeman will get more time because they are guards, but I cannot see them starting in the place of Wallace or even Sapp. Just too much experience and our ability to not commit turnovers is essentional for us to win.
Like I have written before, I would love to see us press more next season with the luxury of 5 playable guards.

Agreed. Freeman at 6'4" or 6'5" depending on who you read, can easily play as a forward and can be badly needed depth in the frontcourt. I also expect to see a very improved Vernon Macklin next year.
