We knew this was coming. When you get this high on the radar, stories like this are bound to follow. I am no NYT fan, but this is exactly the type of story they love to expose nationally. That paper loves to "uncover" the negative and play monday morning quarterback to a fault.
As we continue to win and build a program any mis-step will continue to be overdone. Hopefully, everyone involved learned from this experience (how couldn't they?) and I highly doubt this will happen again under JT3's watch.

What's most annoying about the article is that the author brushes aside the fact that everyone involved states Egerson did NOT flunk out & he left in good standing. That is an important part of the story. They also have an article today about 2 controversial calls, where they say Jeff Green walked & add that Rick Majerus & an official say he did. When people have an agenda, they eschew objectivity. That's a sad commentary on the media.

"A student, John Kaszuba, said he scored just a 1170 on the SAT but was admitted in part because he played football.
'It’s real embarrassing to take a kid like that,' said Kaszuba, a junior who no longer plays football. 'I can’t really see where they thought he was going to make it here.'"
Come on, dude.

what is the point of this article?
The NYT lost most of it's credibility in my eyes after it's horribly biased and generally un-fact-checked handling of the Duke Lacrosse case and this certianly doesn't help matters.
