It was never anything but a self-serving myth by our recruiting foes that Thompson didn't want white players, a myth which was quickly adopted as gospel by mouth breathers everywhere. Sad to see it hasn't died its deserving death. |

If anything it was the work of negative recruiting that kept a lot of white recruits away. How many times do you think an opposing coach whispered in a recruits ear, "you know son, he doesn't like white people"?

I REMEMBER WHEN THOMPSON DID GET A WHITE PLAYER FROM VA..
