Someone has to say it - no wonder Jeff is so good at dishing out the assists.

How cool is it that the people who work with Jeff's dad like him/appreciate him enough to do that? Everything we hear about the family is how cool they are and just great people--well this backs it up even more--when an employer does something like that--speaks a lot about the type of person you are--and it's no surprise that their son conducts himself in the manner he does.
To be honest, the type of people/how they behave on court is one of the reasons I believe everyone loves this team so much. I've loved every Hoya team since I can remember--but these guys just have something extra special and it's unified a lot people who weren't with rest of us Hoya fans--and I believe it's a credit to the type of program III/Staff run--the type of kids who are being recruited/a part of the program, and just another reason to thank them--and keep the Coach in place for as long as he wants.

That might be the JG Marriott in a few months.
Heard nothing but good things about Jeff and his folks.
Does he have a 6'9" younger brother/sister/cousin that the Hoyas are recruiting?

Just walked over to the JW Mariot on my lunch break and saw the sign. There appeared to be some news station there getting ready to film it.

HoyaDrummer -- take a look at the article -- they are serving blue martinis -- I wonder how close they are to our Hoya Blue recipe??

As usual I always agree with what RDF says.

After lurking around here for a number of years, I figure this was a good time for my first post. My sister is the Director of Personnel at the JW Marriott in DC and helped set up most of these events for Jeff's Dad over the past few weeks. She's been the one on the local news TV news stories with Jeff Sr. if you've caught them.
She's been close with Jeff Sr. since they've worked there together and has been having chats with Jeff Jr. since early in his freshman year. Everything you hear about this family is true. They're truly class people. After calling Jeff Sr. like 3 minutes after JG hit the winning shot against Vandy, the first thing Jeff Sr. did was thank my sister for helping out with hotel rooms in NYC! Having met Jeff a few times myself, he's a kid that you're proud to root for as a player and as a person. If he stays and finishes up his degree, I will be proud to call him a fellow alum.
And to any of you that may have stopped by the hotel to pick up a Hoya dog or a Hoya Blue martini, thanks! Apparently the hotel has been overwhelmed with the demand from Hoya alumni and friends.
And please don't think that the JW Marriott connection ends when Jeff Jr. moves on to greener pastures. Chris Wright's uncle is the Bell Captain at the hotel!

Tuna - Good to hear about Wright's uncle - I will be staying at your Sis' hotel for years to come I guess. Tell your sis to keep hiring folks with tall, honorable, athletic and charismatic kids please. I don't think that violates any EEOC rules, and there are a ton of alum who will make it worth he while. Total aside, didn't one of the Hilton kids go to GU back in the 80s? After lurking around here for a number of years, I figure this was a good time for my first post. I would certainly chant "Jeff Green's Dad" if the opportunity arose.

I knew there was a reason I booked my whole family at the JW Marriott on my graduation weekend (several years ago)!

I would certainly chant "Jeff Green's Dad" if the opportunity arose. I've found that if you chant "jeff green's mom...and his dad" it works quite well. The two seemed to like it at Cafe 31 after the BET Final

Total aside, didn't one of the Hilton kids go to GU back in the 80s? I believe it was Conrad Hilton III. He was listed on our roster of alumni for the GU Club of Nevada. Graduated in 1989. I believe he lives in Florida now.
