What about DC? I imagine Georgetown bars will be crazy, but I have to be there. Rhino's is an Ohio State bar for football. Any chance those buck-in-the-eyes will be oozing all over the place? I don't want to be anyplace where people are chanting "Oden! Oden! Oden" unless it's Valhalla.

If I were in DC, I'd pretty much have to be at The Tombs. But, I imagine that will be a zoo. You'll probably have to get your seat at the bar right now.

For Boston, I'm trying to plan a gamewatch with the GU Club of Boston. Tentatively, we have reserved the basement area of Game On...Lansdowne & Brookline Ave (next to Fenway Park).

Is there any game watch going on in Vegas? Unfortunately, the GU Club of Southern Nevada has been moribund this year. So, no official watches.  I will be watching at home. |

regarding the DC gamewatch, we absolutely need to have a bar IN georgetown (other than the tombs, of course) devoted to the hoyas for this one ... i'm not going to miss out again on the celebration around campus ... if not rhino's (is that really still going to be an OSU bar for this game?), then maybe Garrett's or something

Rhinos is an Ohio State hang out - so its out. I don't know how many tvs Garrets has - if you're willing to cross the bridge McFadden's is nice and within mod-running-distance of M and Wisconsin.

I don't know how many tvs Garrets has - if you're willing to cross the bridge McFadden's is nice and within mod-running-distance of M and Wisconsin. have you been there for a game before? i find it hard to believe that there isn't a bar we could go to in georgetown, but the more i think about it, post-champs there just isn't much ... maybe chaddy's ... i walked around georgetown before the florida game in the sweet 16 last year and had a hard time finding a big georgetown crew at any bars, so i went down to tony and joe's and watched the game on their big screen |

I don't suppose there are any southern VA/Norfolk/Hampton Roads Hoyas planning any major get togethers??? Otherwise I'll just go hang at AI's mom's house or make the drive up to DC.

The Georgetown Club of DC will announce plans most likely today. OSU's alumni club has told us that they do not intend to do a formal party at Rhino's but my bet is OSU fans will still go there out of habit.
I'll post here once the DC plans are finalized.

I will actually be in Charlottesville for Saturday. Any current UVA grad students or any other alum getting together to watch the game in the area? Or does anyone have any recommendations for bars or whatnot to watch?
