Very complimentary from both:
Majerus:
- Green should have been an All-American
- Wallace the best shooter in the country, better than Lofton from Tennessee
- Summers the best freshman in the Big East
I expected for the sake of TV for Lavin to mention someone else, and he completely agreed!
Its a love fest for the Hoyas!

Did they mention anything about the coach? Talked about the Princeton O/fense and how it's reminiscent of Euro ball and how poorly US ball players have fared in International competition, therefor US college teams have hard time adjusting to our style of play. Interesting.

Also, Dicky V. likes us to meet up with UNC and lose to Tarheels.

Anybody being paid to inform on the topic of college basketball should not fail to mention PE Jr. and what he brings to this team. I firmly believe if he played last year vs. Florida that we would have won. His 3 pointer vs. BC was even more important than his hellacious reverse thunderjam which rivals Michael Graham's crams vs. Houston as best in Hoya history imo. This kid plays hard, plays smart and brings a passion to the game that brings out the best in Roy and Jeff. Thank you Patrick Ewing Jr. for coming home.

His drive on the baseline, drawing the double team and great dish to Roy for a dunk was also a big play for us. He has a pretty good sense of when to drive, and when to pass.

In USA Today last Monday, he picked all 4 #1 seeds. On espn.com, he's got UCLA coming out of the West. Multiple brackets, BABY!!! His "breakdowns" of the games over the weekend were great, too - basically consisted of "[Team] is awesome! They have [Player], who shoulda been an All-American! But I think [Other Team] is gonna take this one and move on to the next round!"

I would have to agree that Green should of been an All-American but Wallace being the best shooter? Not too sure about that. And Summers is not the best freshman in the Big East...look at Reynolds. Just my two cents

I'd love to see a Lic-Vitale shout-off.

I'd love to see a Lic-Vitale shout-off. I'd not only love it, I'd pay good money to see it. But not as much $$$ as Stubhub is costing for tix on Friday. Sorry, LIC -- it ain't you but Dicky V. who's lacking that much entertainment value.

I'd love to see a Lic-Vitale shout-off. The Smileys vs. the Awesomes - tough one to pick in the brackets, but I gotta think that lic would wear him down and take him in the endgame.

By the way, lost in all the excitement of the weekend is the fact that Doug Gottleib was yet again embarrassed by his pick for the Elite 8, Washington State, getting bumped out early.
He tries as desperately as possible to be the guy hating on the Hoyas, and we consistently make him look like a dope.

I have to say I thought one of the biggest most forgotten great plays in the game and by PE JR was his baseline feed to Jon Wallace in opposite corner to hit a HUGE 3 that cut into their lead after they'd extended it out to 8 early 2nd Half--that was an ENORMOUS PLAY at the time.
As for the media love--just hope the haters keep hating and those who are on the wagon and have been-stay on. Keep the karma rollin'!

JWall makes at least one of those absolutely critical 3s in every game, usually more than one. I love the guy. Most underrated guard in basketball.
