Friday, on a local sports talk show, the topic in several segments was how the crowd is goind to be pro BC, 90/10. They talked about how calhoun went on radio in nyc and bashed BC and basically said they were not a BE caliber program anyway
Memo to calhoun, if your team can't make it to the dance, shut up and don't give BE teams opponents and opposing fans of a different conference additional motivation

Especially with the Big East sort of farting the bed so far in the tournament.

The crowd was worse than 90/10 OSU last year at a site just over an hour away from Columbus, and that turned out pretty well. Hostile environments mean nothing to these Hoyas.
Besides, I know of plenty of people making the trek down to Winston Salem for today who weren't there on Thursday for whatever reason (work, class, etc.). And it's not about the number of fans you have there, it's about how loud the fans that you do have there are.
Back to the original post: Calhoun was right.

I support Calhoun in this discussion and love what he said--which doesn't have a thing to do with outcome of a game--just as Dudley's comments won't matter. All that stuff goes away once ball is tipped and guys start playing--then you worry about winning a game--like any other you play all season.

On a bit of a side note, but Calhoun related. I live in CT and Calhoun had some great things to say about Jeff Green last week. He talked about him having the ability to be a dominant force and be able to take games over by himself. And he said something to the effect of him being one of the most complete players he's seen in a long time.

That's true... It's also true whenever Gottsweeb or any other BEAST coach says it too.
