First off, Memphis got a #2 seed. Memphis sucks. This writer makes a great point. I was listening to Mike and the Mad Dog on the way home from work today, and they had GT (yes, the real GT) coach Paul Hewitt on, and he brought up an interesting point. A lot of people have been crying about the disrespect apparently shown towards the mid-majors in terms of at-larges this year. Hewitt said that one possible reason for the decline in mid-major at-larges could have been the NBA age minimum rule, because more than likely the major conference schools landed the top prospects who would have gone straight to the NBA otherwise were it not for the new rule, and it affected not only those schools who landed the top recruits, but affected entire conferences.
