Wow. 18-0 West Virginia run puts them ahead on Louisville 45-44. Can't believe this game!
I was at Session 3 and, I tell you, if I could have stayed all day (and not gone back to work), I would have!
Quality tournament year after year.

Was it just me or did a) the clock start WAY too late and b) Sosa traveled. I think WV got screwed...

There have been wayyyyyyyy too many non-calls with traveling in this game. It's one thing to put away the whistles with physical play...but steps and shuffling should always be called.

Plus he got at least two dribbles with HUGE steps before the clock even started. The good thing is Louisville used up a TON of energy in this one. Now lets get another 2OT game for Pitt/Marquette.

MIT I agree with you on the travels. Sosa had a play a few minutes before the game tying lay up where he must have taken three or four stutter steps after he got a pass on the perimteter.
I am noticing this more and more in college games - not sure what you would call it, a "soft stutter step" or a "running start" - it isn't the kind of travel out of the "triple threat" position that refs typically look for and call. It's travelling when the player isn't really being pressured, but rather he is starting a dribble, or squaring up to take a three while a little rushed - boom, several steps. West Virginia travelled a few times before taking shots off screens as well.

This Pitt/MU game is ugly stuff -- same old Pitt and refs can't put gum in their whistles fast enough.

Me and Dad was watching WVU play and man they got robbed bigtime. How could anybody miss the clock not starting plus the guy walking. That is BS exspecially after a team(WVU) come all the way back just to lose a game like that. The BE or the ncaa should come out and say that the officials lost the game for WVU.

He may have traveled (thats a judgement call), but I dont think the clock starting late had any effect on the outcome. It appears the shot would have been good either way.

IMO by the clock starting late did have an effect on the guys shot. When the ball went threw the basket the buzzer clearly sounded... Now if that clock would have started normally then that shot would not have counted.Thats how I seen it

Nah, Sosa's shot went up with at least 0.7 left on the clock. The late start only gave him an extra 0.5 or so.

All I know is that I'm definately rooting for L'Ville to pull out another OT classic in the semis.
