I know that its really on Gary Williams and UMD for screwing us, but I think Hoyas and Terps fans need to start a grass roots campaign to see this game happen next year. I know the demand has cooled since we lost to them in the Sweet 16 and our fortunes have gone south. Still, we are a program on the rebound and pressure needs to be put on both programs to see this game happen within the next couple years (preferably next year).

I think there's a good chance this game will happen sometime in the next few years. I would prefer to wait one or two years, until Coach Thompson has had a chance to build a bit of his system, but I think it's becoming more of a "when and how," than an "if" proposition.
Particularly with the recent, apparent Thompson-Feinstein thaw, the biggest question is perhaps whether a restart of the rivalry comes in the context of (or outside) the BB&T classic.

I think it would be an interesting game, but since I don't live in the area, I wouldn't find it any more interesting than playing Virginia or North Carolina or Arizona, or Miss. State or Kentucky or a bunch of other schools. I've never really been all that "hung up" on the whole Maryland thing. It was fun when Lefty was there, because he was such a weasel, but otherwise, I don't care if we ever play them, as long as the schedule does gradually improve.
