Was Drew Hall ever going to attend Gonzaga or was that a bad rumor that circulated when he transferred? I thought I remembered that being his new school.

I almost didn't recognize Drew in that photo on the C of C athletic site - I miss the Sideshow Bob look....

I believe Drew had a conditional offer to Gonzaga, (and he actually spent the summer in Spokane practicing with the Zags), but that some of the conditions were unmet and the offer was withdrawn. What those were -- academic, athletic, or otherwise-- I don't know, but they are how he ended up at CoC.

Looks like the team had a hard time containing Richard Roby .... and a cold-shooting night. Other than not connecting on the shots he took, Drew posted some credible numbers (rebounds, assists, a steal and only 1 t/o). sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/boxscore?gid=200411150125Fan reaction on the MB used by Cougar people: forums.espn.go.com/espn/thread?forumID=122&threadID=841059&lastPostID=3543236As far as Drew's summer in Spokane, he was well-liked by the other players and coaches and fans who happened to meet him. He passed all the classes he took that summer, but I've been told that a certain GPA "target" for him to meet or exceed was the issue. It's possible that the coaching staff out there likes to have the players build up a safety buffer of decent grades during the time that they're not playing -- because they know they'll need it when the demands of team travel kick in.
