I'm still waiting for them to come in, I keep being told by the athletic department that they'll be in and then they never come. They should be in any day now or they might be in and I just haven't been told. I'll tell you as soon as I hear something but its not in my hands at the moment.
I'm also fine with this being considered a Hoya Blue project and working with the guys on this, but I feel like I'm now kind of being by-passed and they are communicating with the 3 main board guys about the shirts more than with me. They were more informed about when the shirts would be arriving and what was happening then I was when I talked to them the other night. I have no problem with them being fully involved, but I just think I should be the first person contacted considering that I have done pretty much all of the work to accomplish this.

007, has the annual Hoya basketball preview edition of "The Voice" come out yet? If so I need to take a trip to the campus.

That really sucks that 2007 didn't get the proper credit. Can someone contact the article writer to let them know?

Thats ok man, I don't really care about that, just some other stuff thats a little annoying. I don't need to have my name printed in the paper or anything, I just don't like the way some things are handled at times. Anyway, as long as this works out sort of the way I hoped and we can do a better job of unifying the student section I'll be happy.

JUst a quick question, for those of us waiting for the shirts to come in, where did our money go to? Just curious. Also, should we email the Hoya Blue people saying we've already contributed money to a shirt, where the hell is it?
Isn't someone on this board in charge of Hoya Blue?! Can we get some info from him/her?

Buffalo, I'm not sure what exactly you are talking about. The money that people donated on this board was used to get the ball rolling on this and start the funding for the shirts.
I came on here and started that up alone, Hoya Blue had no part at all in that and thus they have no idea who donated money and who is supposed to receive shirts. I have all the records of people who have donated and who is supposed to receive a shirt. I will personally make sure that everyone who has not yet recieved a shirt from the first batch will get one from this next one.
I'm having trouble understanding why there is so much confusion about Hoya Blue and the shirts. They have had no part whatsoever in this until they apparently used some Hoop Club funds to pay for part of the order.
If you have any questions about ordering shirts or receiving a shirt just contact me because I am the only one who is responsible for that. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to send out more shirts yet, but its impossible for me to do so when they haven't even arrived in Kim Frank's office yet.

As another member of the second wave of T-shirt buyers, let me say...take your time 007.
You did a great job getting the ball rolling and making this happen.
Thanks a lot. I can't wait for my T-shirt, but I also understand how slowly things can begin to progress once inside the red tape of Georgetown admin.
I hope that you get the credit you deserve and will do anything I can to make sure you get the credit you deserve. If we need to draft up a letter or whatever to the Hoya I'll definitely sign it.

Thanks Cambridge, but I don't need anything like that at all. I just want to increase support for Georgetown Basketball and make it exciting at games. The only problem I have is when people don't communicate with me and basically leave me out of the loop as if I'm not involved in my own project, but I don't need public credit for this in a paper or anything.
Once again, sorry about the shirts not being sent out to everyone yet, but I dont have them yet and I have no control at all over when they arrive. They have been ordered through the athletic department's t-shirt company and they are the ones communicating with them. I'm just waiting to hear from them that the shirts have arrived, which should have happened already. Once they come in I will notify everyone and send out shirts.

You are appreciated here, GUHoya007, but it would be nice if that appreciation were wider spread around the campus. Now, study for your midterms.

Yeah, midterms was the time a few weeks ago when I only posted about 10 times a day instead of 20 ;D.

Aside from all the talk about T-shirts, this article illustrates the efforts of Hoya Blue to increase school spirit at basketball games. After we all, myself included, have criticized them for not doing their job, it seems as if they're making a few steps in the right direction.
I hope they can pull through. I'll do whatever it takes to help them do that.
And GU07 should receive his due for designing the shirts. I was going to write a Spotlight article about him for the Hoya, but this bitch of an editor is not letting me do it because of some miscommunication. I'll do all that I can to make sure GU07 gets his due in The Hoya, because he is without a doubt, Georgetown's number one fan. ;D

People, thanks a lot for the compliments, but Im starting to feel uncomfortable with all this talk about me getting due credit and all. I appreciate it all, and the spotlight article CAHoya mentions would have been nice to get student fans excited for the season, but I don't want to give the impression that I need some kind of recognition. I really don't have to be publicly recognized at all, I just want more support for Georgetown Basketball.

Haha, sorry to make you feel uncomfortable, man, but I really mean it. Jeezus, this post is really overly sentimental. BEER. SPORTS. SEX. DRUGS. TRUCKS. BBQ. Ahhhh, much better.
