He earned the right to have MVP tonight. That was a clutch performance and he deserves praise for it. That is also what I've been asking of him for his ENTIRE CAREER as a basketball fan and it's something that some guys never achieve-- WEBBER or something you just learn and he showed up big time tonight. All credit to Garnett for carrying Wolves tonight. Now onto the Lakers-- I'll take Lakers in 5 and Wolves HAVE to win BOTH HOME GAMES to open series or they have ZERO chance. With Troy Hudson out, they have no advantage because KG will have to do too much and won't be able to get those easy hoops/20+ rebound games with Diesel in the paint. Lakers own every advantage except home court and they dont' care about that, nor need it. The jump shooting choke artists gave Wolves Series with their usual gagging and the Lakers won't.

Even worse for Garnett is that he will be guarded by Malone most likely with Shaq as double team help at most. Malone will play rough and tumble down on KG. It will be very physical. Should he get by Malone, he will have to contend with the tower. Shaq will have a huge series because he will basically be able to sit back, guard the lane and not worry about ind matchups. This spells a lot of trouble for MN as it means Shaq will be fresh and will not be in foul trouble ever.
Also guard matchup is key. Hope that Cassell isn't hurting cause if so it will make for long nights and short round for MN fans! He carried them when things got tough- no disrespect to KG but the man has balls. Lol
Also, who didn't feel a little sorry for Weber with that missed layup and the in and out three at the buzzer. Lol If he wasn't such a chump I would have actually felt sympathy.
As for a gutsy performance, I give it to KG although for a moment there around the three minute mark when he threw away the pass to no one for a turnover and bricked a foul shot I thought we were headed down the road to Choketown. I mean they did manage to squander a ten point lead in about a minute of game time. Any other team (not Sac) would have ridden that burst of momentum to a win. Unfortunately, Sac couldn't choke away that momentum fast enough with equally stupid turnovers that negated their occasional gutsy plays (Christie steal, three pointers from Bibby, etc).
Personally I hate em both. Screw the west. This is the East's year! Maybe. Please. Perhaps. A man can dream right? Lol.

I'm a T-wolves fan and was very happy to see KG rise up. But....I am very worried about Los Laqers. There is no answer for Shaq. This means the 'Kandi and Oliver Miller will have to play. UGGGHHH!
Miller looked pretty good when he first came up. He had played himself into semi-decent shape (for him), but lately he's been sitting and he looks like he's been sitting.
Unfortunately, I think the Miller/Kandi combo is the key for the Wolves. If Ollie can pass out of the high post and maybe hit a few FT line jumpers, then MAYBE the the T-pups can steal an extra game.
My guess is Los Laqers in 5 (maybe 6). But then again, last years squad lost 4-2 and certainly the Wolves are better....maybe it'll be more like a Vikings style tease and collapse just short in 7

Remember that series last year: 1. Bryant hurt his shoulder 2. Lakers had Less Talent- and manpower as Fox's injury put him out for Playoffs and took up a roster spot. Now, they have added Payton and Malone, have a healthy team and Wolves have injuries--Cassell, Wally, and Hudson not on Playoff Roster and it could be said that he was the reason Wolves won 2 games they did. The more people talk about this series, the more I don't see Wolves winning a game. I still think they find a way to win one game, but if they don't win BOTH Game's 1 & 2, they are out in 5 and have no chance of beating Lakers--barring injury to Shaq or Kobe.

RDF, I know you're right on this one. I'm just kinda hoping for this to go past 5 games.
