It never ceases to amaze me. One minute its heaven when we win, the next minute its hell and we are the worst coaching staff in America. lol!! Gosh, hoyatalk is something else. You would think everybody is from philadelphia around here the way some of you hop on and then hop off the bandwagon for this team.
Look: Either you are with us or you are against us. Do you want to be a Georgetown fan or you don't? Make up your minds.

no1 jumps off the wagon at all, cant we just point out the negatives of us... just we recognize how mentally weak we are, coaching wise, playing wise, in alot of ways... jt3 has to say guys we are winning not losing they are the ones coming back... but im guessing he didnt he gotta step up and get that win... he coulda got the win singlehandly for us without even lacing up the sneaks...

I'm not jumping off the bandwagon. I'll be watching on Thursday or Friday and my check'll be sent to the HHC.
I still think III and staff are fantastic.
But it boggles the mind what could have possibly been the logic behind a twenty minute delay tactic, and this is not the first time that exact strategy has cost us a game.
Can I not question that without getting called out by the_way? Thompson has made this tactical mistake several times and his dad made it over and over and over again. Stall ball is especially awful when you don't have a guard who can create.
So yeah, the Staff gets a HUGE F for this game, pulling down their season GPA to maybe an A-.
But it is still an F.

But actually, I'm probably going to be sticking up for our guys on every thread tonight (the vast minority, indeed).

Stall ball didn't hurt us today. Our foul-shooting hurt us. AND, out defensive lapses. McNamara's last 3 were DJ is just backin up while McNamar is driving to set him self up for the 3 hurt. We didn't execute. We did the right thing, and if we executed we would have won. We didn't execute. We looked a little tired and we seem to not have the hunger. Syracuse wanted this game more, and it showed at the end.

There is not a chance I am abandoning the team or the staff. I went into this game totally convinced I would not get upset by anything it was all gravy, but being up 15 at the half, you have to win it. We allowed Cuse to set 2 records against us, only team to win after an OT victory and the biggest halftime comeback in BE Tourney history.
The season has been great and to be in this position tonight was great, but we were so damn close, so close and it really sucks to see it all slip away. We were in quicksand the entire 2nd half.
Next Thurs/Fri we have to bring it all 40 minutes, no delay tactics.

A hoorible loss, Way, no other way to look at it. You don't have to wear blinders to be a fan, even a passionate one. If we lose a well=played game to a team that is our equal, that's the game and good for all. When we play an embarrassing half, with poor performances from players and staff, we have every right to be critical. Doesn't mean I won't be rooting with all my heart next week - but with a little less optimism.

Good lord, if you think stall ball didn't hurt us, you're...well, I'd have to break the rules of the forum.
Waiting until 10 seconds left until we even tried for a shot kills your offense. Missed FTs didn't help. We definitely looked tired. But not even trying on offense until you have to killed any chance of scoring.

Honestly, the_way, you can still surprise me.
You've said dozens of mind-numbling stupid things over the years, but "stall-ball didn't hurt us today" takes the cake.
I can't understand how you actually believe what you type.

I don't know about you all, but it's pretty hard for me to take the "glass half full" approach in the moments after something like that. Tomorrow, maybe. But not tonight. And I suspect they weren't doing it on the locker room either. You have to learn from that.

Way - I like how you defend the guys and I definitely am a Hoya fan for life, but that quote here is ludicrous. If it was true, then I probably wouldn't watch the Hoyas in the NCAAs. If they don't care, why should the fans care.
Fortunately, you are wrong, and the reason the Hoyas lost is because they played a terrible second half. No one executed, no one wanted to take the ball to the hole...I could go on, but basically no one (including the coaching staff) did a good job. That's it.
