Or are they still using that 80s bull crap, not telling anything. It’s hard to root for this program. They are so far behind times it still feels like John Thompson is here. They need to get up to date. What a joke they are anymore. No promotion of the program. Don’t put out a roster for month after everyone else or longer. Cooley is an idiot. Not like he was at providence. Who is running this bull program. Just please shut the program down. It’s not working and never will. I am sick of it I have had all I can stand of this program. They don’t want to win.

Yes - agree. I just saw a Duke scrimmage on live TV this weekend and it looked sold out.

Can we fix this grammar? It's killing me. We played two secret scrimmages. No need to play an exhibition when we can't fill up the seats yet for real games. Gotta crawl before we can walk.

I would much rather have the team playing against real D1 opponents than have them playing exhibition games against lower-level teams just so our dwindling fanbase can have a bit more access before the season starts.

We have been crawling for a long long time. And maybe the expectation that this was a one-year quick fix turnaround was unrealistic because of how far things were allowed to fall in the 2017-2022 period. Might just be me, but I take victories in scrimmages over UVA and UMD as good signs.

We used to play exhibitions in the old days. It was fun but meaningless to watch us slaughter Fort Hood. I imagine playing those now would be a financial loss given the state of the program.

I agree, but with new rules allowing "charity" exhibitions, it is possible for Division I teams to play against one another. Given our team's status and need to grow, I don't think an exhibition game like that is needed right now. But once we get our feet under ourselves, it might be fun to do a charity exhibition against Maryland, or something like that.

Agree that the program is in need of upping its game in the publicity and promotion. Agree that Year One expectations were too high. Agree that good news about secret scrimmages against decent (though not top tier) opponents is welcome news (imagine if we had lost), and I agree that we all want to see program success and wins sooner but that we have to understand how far we had dropped and how getting back to relevance is a slow burn build. www.facebook.com/watch/?v=832897574079867TBS, when I see the group EC recruited after last year -- and the preceding decade, 2012 BET notwithstanding -- I disagree that he is an idiot. This group this year will be fun to watch and will surprise a lot of people. And imagine the kind of recruiting he will be able to do as the wins accumulate. Let's go! Hoya Saxa.

I've said this before, the expectations were high that we would see a competent(not a winning one) team on the court and that we'd see the program operate more competently. Neither of which I viewed to be unattainable. I'm happy with the two W's in scrimmages and I very much look forward to the season but I have to be honest in saying that the off-season was terrible as far as operating differently from the past goes.
