RIP to a man whose heart was even bigger than he was.
Without question the greatest Hoya Basketball product ever, when his post playing career is factored in.
Godspeed Dikembe and God bless your family.

These losses recently have been painful. But this wound cuts deepest. Rest In Peace, Deke.

What a horrible loss for this world. He was an incredible man, a true angel for thousands in Africa and the US. He has a special place in the afterlife.
RIP Dikembe Mplondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo.

One of the great examples of using your well earned fame for the good of others. Great loss for the Hoya Nation and basketball in general but a much greater loss for humanity. Rest in peace my friend - you've earned it.

A legend on the court, and an ever better man off of it. His life is a lesson for all of us, and his passing leaves an immeasurable void. Requiescat in pace, Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo.

These losses recently have been painful. But this wound cuts deepest. Rest In Peace, Deke. Dikembe is the fourth man from the 1989-90 team to have died too soon, joining Dave Edwards, Chip Simms (a practice player who walked on the year after), and Anthony Allen.

It is challenging to come up with the right words to say, but what a great man…to his family, to his friends, to Georgetown, and to the basketball world!
I met him as a fan. He greeted me with a firm hand shake that I always remembered.
I stand respectfully today to offer my heartfelt condolences! My prayers are with the family.

Rest in Power. This hurts a lot, I didn’t get to watch him in his all star years, but my parents, Knicks fans, did and always had only nice things to say about him no matter what team he was on. I hope his humanitarian missions get carried on and he will never be forgotten.

So sad. A fantastic human being gone too soon. I suppose I'm glad that he's no longer suffering. Condolences to his family and to all of those that loved him. R.I.P. Dikembe.

It's not often that a great athlete is also a great person. Mutombo accomplished both and brought pride and joy to all of us who are passionate about the school and the program.

RIP - hard to find a better man. Got to do the finger wag with him at a game when he came over to the student section. Hate this. This whole week - Maggie Smith, Kris Kristofferson, Dikembe. This week sucks.
