This is a farce that the International Gymnastics Federation and the IOC couldn't have bolloxed worse if they tried. The US now claims to have a video showing that it submitted protests twice within the allotted one minute period. Plus, I believe a second Romanian gymnast lost points in the floor exercise due to her supposedly stepping out of bounds when she didn't step out of bounds. The only just solution here is for bronze medals to be awarded to Chiles and the two Romanians, and to make damn sure that the judges know what they are doing next time. |
