The police just released the bodycam video of Sydney getting shot by the cop. It seemed completely justified by the officer (who was stabbed when Sydney attacked him). He gave her more of an opportunity than she deserved to not have this happen. She just did not stop attacking him despite being repeatedly being told not to.
