The pinned recruiting table has 5 for 2023-24: Asadallah, V.Muresan, Kazor, Grant and Montgomery. I didn’t count Bacote and appreciate what he does for the team. Hopefully, Cooley can retain freshman walk-ons for 4 years. Just to clarify, the pinned recruiting table here is NOT the official roster and has always been our best interpretation of what is available from the team, reliably sourced media, and the student athletes themselves. As for the 5 listed for 23-24, Grant only saw spot action in a couple of games before leaving the team before the Big East season. Also to clarify, I do not view walk-ons as substitutes for scholarship players, unless of course they turn out to be Jon Wallace. The pinned recruiting table, reliable media, the students and binx’s table.. It’s what we have until Cooley’s GU Basketball gets up to speed. Yes, Grant arrived in April from OSU and left after the fall semester. Walk-ons saw very limited to no action under Cooley at GU. No idea how he used walk-ons at PC… |

Cooley not emptying the bench in the last minute of our Big East Tournament loss was a disgrace. Let the walk-ons and those scholarship players who rarely play get on the court at Madison Square Garden. Just appreciation for their efforts in practice all year long. It really Editeded me off. Win two games in the Big East and be down 20 points at the end of many games .... and you just let Epps and co. keep chucking?  I'm not sure I would want to be a walk-on on this team the way it is being managed. |
