At SG and SF, we now have 6 players - Epps, Peavy, Curtis Williams, Caleb Williams, Drew McKenna, Kayvauun Mulready.
The cream will rise to the top. Hopefully they are all working hard to be that cream.

4-star Curtis Williams talks Louisville, Providence visits; sets commitment date “I took an official visit to Xavier,” Williams said. “I got a visit set with Louisville and Providence; then I’m going to commit.” “I can shoot and play make,” Williams told On3. “I can play on the defensive end and offensive rebound. I’ve played with a higher motor this summer, focusing on doing the little things other than just scoring. I watch a lot of Jimmy Butler; how tough he is. Even if the shot isn’t falling, he’s doing something. Providence: “Coach (Ed) Cooley is talking with me, and they have stayed in constant contact, recruiting me. They tell me I can come in and make a big impact right away as a freshman. I set my visit there for September 8.” www.on3.com/news/curtis-williams-talks-louisville-providence-visits-sets-commitment-date/

We also have to take into consideration that it's really hard to maximize your potential when your a dependent player on a really bad team. Louisville was one of the few teams that has been worse than GTown over the last few years. If we get decent play out of Mack and Epps at the lead guards positions then Curtis will get good looks. Most of your players below 5* can't shine when they have bad PG play. Illinois says hello Zeke Did they even have a player considered to be a lead guard this season? No but Illinois was a good team already...they weren't put together with parts that didn't fit (GTown) or had inexperienced lead guards running the team (GU & L'Ville).

Im sure it had nothing to do with Domask, Guerrier Yes, replacing Epps in the backcourt with Southern Illinois transfer Marcus Domask was better for Illinois, I agree. Guerrier plays a totally different position, so not sure why that is relevant.

Epps technically “dropped” Illinois.

Domask plays a different position than Epps also This is aimed at all responders here not just you....you simply dont have to take the bait and respond. This is the Curtis Williams thread. The OP using it as another reason to bash Epps is silly and the board doesnt have to give it oxygen. If nobody replies, it ends

Guerrier plays a totally different position, so not sure why that is relevant. Your claim was Illinois got better because they got rid of Epps. I would say they got better because they got improvements from Coleman, Shannon plus the addition of Domask and Guerrier. Why are we talking about what positions they play?

Epps technically “dropped” Illinois. Where is the evidence for that?
