Burn the tape from the whole season. Naw...each year make every team watch it at the beginning of the season to make sure this never happens again

Whelp... It is done.
Now to getting the remaining scholarships filled and a good recruiting class already of freshman (well 3.5 freshman as McKenna joined early to red shirt half a season).

Lost by 18 to a team that’s not going to make the NCAA Tournament. Going 4-19 from the line makes the loss look worse than it is. It’s not Cooley’s fault that we missed 15 free throws especially when the guys who missed them are usually good at them.

Cooley’s record continues to get worse, now far under .500 in the Big East against everybody except when he coached Providence against Georgetown (he was 15-7 in those games).

John Wooden’s record would get worse coaching this time. Obviously, this was a terrible year. We know you think Cooley was a terrible hire and made up your mind on that before he was hired. The rest of us would like to see where we go in the off-season and next year before writing him off.

I will file this among the other posts in the “hoyaboya’s Anti-Cooley File”. The fact is Cooley is the coach. I have my concerns about the defense but I am hoping Cooley’s past much better defense means improvement is on the way. Frankly, if we don’t succeed under Cooley I feel like we will be doomed to many more years of irrelevance.

Bristol got the senior night goodbye. Would be surprised, but not shocked, if he returns. COVID free year made senior night a little odd. Pass on Bristol. Brings absolutely nothing on the offensive end. Averaged 20+ minutes per game, shot 36% and never scored in double figures the entire BE season.

The free throw situation wasn't bad or awful or horrific....it was weird. The Hoop gods decided to torture us in a new and unexpected way. I do find that a good sign for next year- it can only get better and luckier e.g. TCU.

You don't win without defense and too many upperclassmen couldn't defend. Not stay to start but stay to help with the solid incoming freshmen and set the standard.

Bristol isn't coming back. Ron at HoyaReport reported weeks ago that Bristol himself told him that.

Book it! The season is done. thankfully. After watching the disaster of missed free throws and dominance by one player, poor passes, no hands under the rim. This could not have been a more devastating loss. I now have serious doubts about Rowan, too many dribble, too slow, too weak. Lots of work ahead. You can also dismiss the argument the empty stands at the phone booth, the Garden was packed and the team played horribly.

Has Cooley given any of his salary back? We know he’s “rich as a MF’er” All things Thompson ….

The FTs were incredibly bizarre but if we shoot an average clip that would be a tight game down the stretch. Team played hard the second half and adjustments were made. In a year full of losses, several others were much worse.

Has Cooley given any of his salary back? We know he’s “rich as a MF’er” All things Thompson …. With all due respect, saying things like this is pointless. When you mess up in your job, do you offer your employer money back? Is Massoud giving his NIL back? Is Ewing giving back the $4 million he earned this year and will earn next year for sitting home and doing nothing? Is DeGioia paying back the university for the money wasted on Ewing’s extension? When professional athletes stink in professional sports do they give their salaries back? And other than maybe making a handful of fans happy, how does that help us get better next year?

The others you mention never used their wealth to belittle others so your point falls flat. Perhaps an ounce of humility from our head coach who talks the talk would go a long way to recognizing his deficiencies as a coach which may in turn lead to improvement next year.

Looks like I'll be on the Flexplan until further notice. I can't fall for the fake it 'til you make it routine again.

Not even going to cover. Sad. This sh!t is irrelevant to the actual game. The spread is no different than a golf handicap. Not covering the spread means that the team underperformed. So yes for some of us who use it as a performance indicator it is most certainly relevant. Does profanity violate board policy?
