Epps need to sit if he isn't even going to look for teammates and then not make a 1 on four drive.

We are not, in fact, gonna win this.

Another night of low- to mid-major basketball from our team. Another night to realize that a well-coached team gets better as the season goes on. We may actually have gotten worse, at the very least are no better than Day 1.

The one thing I felt fairly confident in was Cooley would have us playing better in February than we were in December. I don’t think it’s even debatable. We’ve been worse.

Hoyas has some good runs with Epps out. Hoyas showing open Hoyas hit with good passing can make shots. Epps has really struggled since he was sick the first time and really dropped off after the second time. Epps strength is shooting, but he was 3 of 12, which means there are dead possessions with no points.
Styles also struggled shooting with 3 of 15, which makes it a really tough night.
Cook had a good game, Heath shot decently, and Rowan was running point quite well (better than Epps has) and he was getting good percentage buckets. Bristol is solid defensively and passes well and also rebounds.
Hoyas need Epps to get his shooting back, but also pass and find teammates. He also was switching his man, whom he was matched decently with to pick up a big which isn't a smart exchange for a guy with limited wingspan and not much height.
If Epps can get out of his shooting funk and learn to play off ball and still score that would help the Hoyas a ton. Having Epps as a scoring threat off ball and Styles with Heath also ready to take a good set shot. Things could turn into a solid improvement offensively going this route. Epps at point isn't the answer.

This. The one thing I felt fairly confident in was Cooley would have us playing better in February than we were in December. I don’t think it’s even debatable. We’ve been worse. Hard to dispute this opinion... Rowan played well, I hope he gets big minutes the rest of the year Rowan and Cook played well. Cook's game is vastly better than where he was early in the year. Rowan it playing like he has for a long time, creating for others by driving and watching adjustments and pass to a weakness in defense that gives his team a strength and taking mostly high percentage shots. Rowan is playing far more in control than he was much of the early BE season. Epps shooting is way off and never has run point well. Styles has on games and off games. Heath can get 12 to 15 from open shots. When Epps shooting is off the less he passes and the Hoyas have become used to not getting the ball when open and not hustling to get open to then not get the ball. Hopefully a change at point gets things moving in a better direction.

Is five pages a record HT low for a Villanova game?

Turnovers, poor shooting, and erratic defense won't win many games.
Rowan's play is screaming for increased playing time. Keep it going!
I wish EC could read the floor and make adjustments sooner than halftime.
Also wish that Rowan's solid game could happen the same game as solid play from Epps & Styles.
Last wish -- I get three, right? -- is for us not to allow any more easy layup baskets. Hammer them and knock them down -- make 'em pay to come inside. Whatever you have to do. Easy threes will kill you; walk right in and scoring layups rips out your soul.

Hate to do it but hoyaboya deserves credit for this call. The coach is just taking money from us at this point. The team is a disgrace.
