Impossible to build any momentum with such terrible unenforced turnover after turnover

TCU is playing in the jersey defense on every man. Hoyas not breaking loose.

Well, all our issues from the whole season are on display tonight: no interior presence, rebounding, turnovers. But we’re still in it against a much older and more experienced team.

This TCU team has so much St. John’s in them. Jamie Dixon should be ashamed of this offense they run. It plays right into our hands. We should be able to stick around and hope Epps goes scorching late. The offense they ran after the final TV timeout were so much better than anything they did up to that point. They can beat us off the dribble no problem or just run simple high low. It’s not that hard. That’s on me guys. I’ll take the blame they figured it out.

They can actually play with these guys, but for the turnovers. That’s entirely what lost the lead. Sure, defense wasn’t stellar but turnovers caused a lot of that too.

Nothing's easy tonight. We know the boards are an issue, but they seem to be out hustling us as well. The turnovers certainly don't help.

I could live with everything else if we just cut out the ridiculous turnovers and made free throws at a respectable rate.

We are hanging with them. If we reduce turnovers and slow the game down, anything is possible.

How different would these games look with better FT shooting and half the careless TOs. You can see the effort and some talent but mental mistakes and a 60% FT shooting just kill them. Like Massoud and he will get better each week.

Definitely, TOs and getting consistently beat on the boards. Come on!

I missed the first 6 or 7 minutes, but Hoyas looking a bit rattled with the close difficult to shake defense. Really need to stay calm play setup a little farther out.
The picks I've seen so far have been set but not well used and defender easily stays with the ball. Need hard pick and ball handler to cut them very tight. That will give space, which Hoyas don't seem to have had. Epps is normally good with using picks and dusting his coverage, but not today from what I've seen.
Assists are just 4 with Rowan with 3 of the 4 in limited minutes. If he is running fine (looking like he is still not fully back) Hoyas need those assists.
Hoyas are 5 of 8 from 3 zone, that is 62.5% shooting. Dang! that is nice.

The turnovers hopefully we can fix this year. The rebounding isn't going to be fixed. No one's gaining 30 pounds of muscle or growing 4 inches.

Couldn’t agree more with everyone else, unforced TOs and FTs. Not sure there is hope on the boards but the wave of offensive rebounds are mentally tough after a decent defensive stand.

The turnovers really are of the maddening variety (not like they ever aren’t). TCU d has been solid but the TOs are from super lazy and soft passes (sure Rowan has 2 of them and Ish 1), dribbling off feet (Epps has 2) and offensive push offs (Jay gets at least one a game). Killed momentum when we had it. Prevented any more from being generated.

TCU scored 44pts with only two 3's & six Ft's.
They are killing Gtown in the paint with O boards & drives

Right now we aren't on TCU's level...we have the offensive talent but not the cohesion or experience. That run to put TCU up 8pts happens a lot earlier with a Ewing led team. The 1st 3mins after half are key to whether its a close game or a easy TCU W....either way I expect we will be tough by early February as we get more used to each other.

Need Rowan in with Epps with 5 turnovers and have him run point and Epps score.

We’ve gotten blown off the floor the last two mins of the first half and now the first two of the second half. That’s ballgame. Feels eerily similar to ghastly runs in prior years.
