Im not out here condoning violence. But weve needed a chip on our shoulder for a long while... This is bush league. He got stripped then did the stupidity to get the tech and kept going with this. This isn't a chip on the shoulder. This is immaturity. He's playing Le Moyne for petes sake. Does it ever get annoying to sign in under different board names boya?

Brumbaugh and Cook looked really good. Styles can be effective though not necessarily pretty, needs to stay in his lane and not hunt shots. Heath was Heath. Epps a total punk and I would hope Cooley will reprimand him, but I doubt he will. Fielder worse defensively than he is good offensively, but will play a lot due to lack of other options. Overall, solid victory against a horrendous LeMoyne team. Took care of business and crowd seemed decent. Nobody cares. You should stop posting.

I mean, I almost didn't recognize what I was watching tonight. Ball movement, passing, unselfishness, defensive effort, patience on offense...what a difference a coach makes.
And some of these young guys are truly exciting: Brumbaugh, Fielder, Styles, Epps...it was a pleasure to watch the team play, and I haven't been able to say that for YEARS.

In light of the program's recent struggles, a resounding victory against any opponent serves as a beacon of hope, rekindling optimism for the team's future prospects.

I thought Cook picked it up. He did. I was watching on a delay while reading the board.. His 2nd half was much better than his 1st.

Oh come on, you have no idea what Depersia was saying to him to elicit that kind of reaction. Sure, he needs to keep better composure, but the Tech was most definitely the second guy getting flagging after the first guy started it. Regardless, his self-control needs to be better, and I'm certain that he will hear about this from the staff. Hopefully case closed.

Going to sleep well tonight - really enjoyed almost everything I saw tonight, and I look forward to watching this team grow. They will be fun to watch. They already have a personality, a team vibe that I like the feel of.
One last note: he goes unnoticed a lot because he usually isn't flashy. He in always rebounding, passing, disrupting on defense, and in position, able to hit the 3. He hustles and keeps a focused, unemotional aspect about him. Glad he got some minutes tonight and I think he will be an important part of the team this year.
I'm speaking, of course, about #31, Wayne Bristol, Jr.

For the analytically inclined... Per Bartorvik our game score tonight was 87 (which is a total measurement of efficiency, statistical output, adjustment for opponent, etc.). We only topped that number 3 times all of last year (and two were in close-ish losses to the computer darling in UConn). barttorvik.com/team.php?year=2024&team=Georgetown

Nicely done Hoyas. This was something that looked like good basketball. It was by far the best the Hoyas looked since the team imploded that December a few years ago.

Love what he brings.

That was refreshing. Very few of our games are going to be that easy, and you generally can't learn a lot against an opponent like this, but I think it was pretty illustrative of what we want to do, before those pesky defenses get in the way. I appreciated the constant movement, the team play, the rotations meant to generate open players either down or for an open three. I really only remember once or twice resorting to hero ball, though we did take quite a few quick threes to my mind. Epps had some really nice drives and dishes, as well -- it's been a while since we had someone really trying to get easy buckets for our bigs. I even love the semi-pointless weave we run at times simply because it makes people move. It's good that we have it, because we're going to need it. Heath, maybe Epps, probably not Styles but maybe seem like the only guys who can create off the dribble -- and that's against LeMoyne. I like Rowan's game but he wasn't creating much separation against LeMoyne. Cook got started in the second half but it'd be hard to argue that you can be confident in any kind of low post game there translating up. We'll largely live and die with our defense, some pretty good 3 pt shooting, and whatever we can generate as a team. Good news on that is the team does look like it can shoot pretty well even without Massoud. Epps and Styles may be streaky, I'm guessing, from form, but Rowan and Heath's stroke look pretty solid. The interior is going to be a struggle. I think Cook and Mutombo will be okay, but I have a feeling we get killed on the glass in some of these matchups. Not sure who is going to consistently finish in the trees, either. And our 3 pt D looks like it'll be ahead of the interior. That's all okay. The team plays together. It has a plan. I think we're going to have some surprises. And I think our biggest issue will end up being depth -- I think we may see a year where the starters can kind of hold their own and then the backups struggle to keep up with opposition backups. We'll see. I'm happy. Agree with all this. I was skeptical when Cooley said this might be his best perimeter shooting team but I see it now. Ish is lights out when open so the spacing will be even more important when he is back.

I remember when someone on here was saying that Epps scoring 46 was a bad sign .... it's not. Epps playing absolutely within the offense and getting everyone involved. I'm super impressed with him and Fielder. We're going to struggle scoring in the paint though. Imagine a guy scoring 46 one night and playing unselfishly the next. Sweet.

Fielder and Brumbaugh are the real deal.....This team is fun and this coach is having fun....Not because we are scoring points but because we are doing what is instructed.
