It seems like he can hold his own in the BE, no he's probably not an all BE teamer, but I'm encouraged by his production against Wake and X. Someone who's willing to battle in the post and hustle for rebounds is exactly what we need. Like it or not we're going to go as far as our guards/wings will take us next year. Add another guard in Dunn and I'll be encouraged about our roster for next year, with very clear talent upgrades coming in 24 too

Solidly built and knows how to use his body. Will play 15 plus minutes a game. I'll take the over on 15 minutes. Mutombo isn't playing 25 mpg and we don't have any other true posts. Akok will be injured by Big East season if we try to throw him out there at the 5.

More so than any previous year, even those in which our roster turnover was crazy, I think it's very hard to predict minutes at this point because (a) almost the entire roster is new, (b) the roster still isn't complete, and (c) we have an entirely new coach and staff that will likely play significantly different than Ewing. There are a lot of new faces, and a lot of pieces to the puzzle. While I agree that we cannot roll Akok out there at the 5 for long periods, I do think he's talented enough to play there when we go smaller or when we play OOC teams that are horrible/lack size.
Akok's playing time last year actually eclipsed what I thought he'd play given his injury-prone past, but he managed fairly well with it. That said, his efficiency took a nosedive, and I think he can be a MUCH better player under Cooley than he was under Ewing, especially if he's playing around better players and in a better system. Akok actually took a lot of threes last year (which I wanted him to do), and wasn't very good, only hitting 28.2%. But, a lot of them were bad shots, and I think in a better system, he could improve on threes, and all around. I really think Akok will be an important part of the puzzle.
I do think Cook will get a bunch of playing time, but I wouldn't sleep on Mutombo either. I don't think Mutombo is going to get a huge amount of minutes, but I think he might be better than he's given credit for.

Supreme looks good in the post and catches the ball very well. Our coaching staff is doing a good job. Let’s go Hoyas!

Can't wait to see what Coach White does once he gets Cook in the weight room. Can already see the lunch-pail mentality in this kid. Get to work young fella!

As a Fairfield fan that watched Supreme for 3 years, I just thought I'd add a little pro/con scout.
pro:
1) true post scorer has a few different moves and draws a lot of fouls/FT attempts. 2) strong rebounder at both ends (although his stats get fluffed some). he's not one of those guys that gets the ball knocked out of his hands a lot. 3) he's not super quick - but I think he's got more athleticism than you might think and will probably show it over the next 2 years. 4) he has 2 years of eligibility. 5) he has worked a lot to improve getting good post position.
con:
1) he talks about this in interviews. he needs to improve FT%. 3 years and he really hasn't. line drive FTs still. sometimes he gets hot... other nights he's 3/10. 2) kind of a black hole on offense. not good at passing out of a double team or just moving the ball around, in general. tendency to put his head down when gets the ball. 3) this will sound weird - but I really feel like he should finish through contact better. can't quantify it, but I was left with the feeling he missed a lot of makeable chances for "and one." needs to finish meaner. 4) at this time, I wouldn't call him a strong defender. various reasons why this might be, but I'll leave it at that.
Overall:
I think Supreme has a higher ceiling than some might think and a pretty high floor. He might not end up All-BE, but (at worst) he'll be a productive member of your forward rotation. I would be optimistic about cons #2 and #4 being things that could improve with maturity/experience and new/better coaching.

"Supreme Cook, transferring from Fairfield to Georgetown: “I think he can be a contributor at Georgetown. He’s got a motor, and he’s gotta depend on it. That has to really be on because the size of the Big East is different. He’s going to have to develop his jump shot past 15 feet to be an impact player. But Supreme can play. He’s one of the impact players in the MAAC and I’m interested to see how he fits into Coach Cooley’s system. He was somebody that you had to keep off the glass and you know he was going to work hard, and he’s going to have to bring the same things at the next level.” – Dan Engelstad, Mount Saint Mary’s head coach" 247sports.com/longformarticle/max-abmas-grant-nelson-rival-coaches-dish-on-college-basketballs-212156662/#2189791
