Great day for Gtown with these 2 commits. Epps and Leggett certainly would be a nice tandem in the backcourt with Heath possibly as a 6th man??

theathletic.com/4388222/2023/04/10/transfer-portal-college-basketball-fits-commits/?source=freedailyemail&campaign=601983CJ Moore and Sam Vecenie The Atlantic “Among the three young guards (Illinois) Epps, Harris, and Clark – the team was worse offensively with him out there than the other two on a per-100 possession basis. But Epps did showcase real ability as a downhill driver and consistently put pressure on the pain in a way this this team lacked at times.” “He also tried to push the pace in transition and generally attacked with aggressiveness. Ultimately, Epps needs to keep improving as a distributor, as he only dished out a 12% assist rate for this season as a small guard.” "Epps will give Georgetown a real option for transition buckets so that not everything is predicated upon executing sets in his first year. It’s not the most ideal fit unless Epps improves his passing and shooting from distance, but Epps is talented enough where I buy that upside existing.”

Nice to see Epps decide to move up a conference from the weak B1G to a real conference like the Big East.

I assume this alone should make people pretty happy about trading Primo for Jayden (if you think JE is gonna start at PG)

Epps' chart suggests a smart/well coached player for the modern game. I love to see it. EDIT: This is from CBB Analytics, which I never knew about. It is super cool and confirms many of the things we saw all year - awful shot selection, awful three point defense, etc.

Man, Primo's finishing at the rim didn't seem as Akinjo like as it was. Epps is a stocky guard so I'm not surprised at his finishing ability.

Primos like the guard version of Wahab except as the PG Primo gets much more touches. Essentially he dribbles 10 times, spin move and if mid range isn’t open continues into the paint and by this time there are 3-4 defenders surrounding him in the paint making for a contested low percentage finish near the basket.
