“Val Ackerman throwing a fit”no results that is your opinion not fact. Dan Hurley, Holloway, McDermott, Pitino, Kim English etc have all thrown a “fit” SilenT Val? Sooooo Val flipping out would make the committee go back after selection Sunday and say oh whoops Val is right, UVA sorry you're out. Is that what you expect to happen in that scenario? (Yes that's is a serious question based on what you've been saying) I'm more curious about what's your issue with Val? I would shocked that your only issue with her is this instance considering how hard you are trying to push this weird narrative. Someone would have to be insane to not take the Louisville job over Seton hall. I think I’ll go with Dan Hurley, Shaheen, McDermot, Kim English “Flipping Out” over you and Val’s soft approach, 2003.

I just said that Val Ackerman being more aggressive would not have changed whether Seton Hall was in the tournament this year.

I just said that Val Ackerman being more aggressive would not have changed whether Seton Hall was in the tournament this year. My opinion is Ackerman didn't need to be any "more aggressive" after the bracket came out. At that point, it's just sour grapes and doesn't change anything. What Ackerman can definitely do is be more procactive throughout the season, both by interfacing with committee members and doing a media push, to advocate on behalf of her membership. My take on Ackerman is she's a smart, competent semi-introverted manager who sits in her Manhattan office and shows up to Big East events every once in awhile. She's rarely out in front of topics or actively putting herself on TV shows to talk about how great the teams in her conference are.

I’m glad he’s with us.

My conversation was with 2003. I promise you I only have one account. As it is, I probably spend way too much time posting here, having any alternate names is certainly not on the table. To bring it back to the Big East, though, I really think the most important thing Val Ackerman needs to do is secure a good TV deal going forward. If she does that, I think her time as commissioner will have been successful. To me, her working to get the Fox Sports deal in 2013 was crucial, along with avoiding unnecessary expansion, which then allowed the Big East to add Connecticut when circumstancvs allowed. It's easy to forget that back in 2013, when things were falling apart, people were throwing out some pretty crazy names to add to the conference in the expansion frenzy. I am really, really, happy that did not happen, as it has really helped the conference and kept it strong. With the football scene on shaky ground, I think it is in the Big East's interests to hang on and see what happens. It would not shock me if in 5-10 years, there are some good basketball programs needing homes.

"College basketball transfer portal: Kansas, North Carolina highlight top programs seeking wings These teams will be swinging for the fences for some of the top wings in the 2024 transfer portal cycle... CREIGHTON BLUEJAYS Trey Alexander might be a first-round pick and Baylor Scheierman is out of eligibility. Creighton has two top-60ish recruits on the way in Jackson McAndrew and Larry Johnson who can shore up some perimeter depth concerns, but playing in a Greg McDermott offense is so attractive. Creighton can go big-game hunting in the transfer portal to find its 2024-25 centerpiece. Getting Steven Ashworth back for a fifth season would be a huge shot in the arm, but Creighton has to make waves in the portal." 247sports.com/longformarticle/college-basketball-transfer-portal-kansas-north-carolina-highlight-top-ncaa-basketball-programs-seeking-wings-229482975/#2397109
