Better economy when he was President Let’s start with the first one. Why do you think it was a better economy under Trump? If you remember correctly, Trump used the Dow Jones as his economic indicator (which it is not, but that’s another discussion). The Dow rose faster under the Obama/Biden administration and the Biden/Harris administration, reaching all-time records, than under Trump’s administration. Therefore, under Trump’s own definition or measure, the economy is better under the Biden/Harris administration. What do you pay for gas compared to 4 years ago? Groceries? Insurance? Housing? Interest rates? Utilities? Home repairs? Car repairs? Building materials? Clothing? Furniture and fixtures? Entertainment? Should I keep going? If you can't see that the economy is much worse now than there's no hope for you.

Typical pathetic liberal hypocrite. Blaming Trump for everything the current administration has botched the last 4 years. Are you blaming Mr Magoo's dementia on Trump? You're a clown. Funny how you make fun of Trump supporters when her supporters tried to kill him...twice. How many assassination attempts have there been against Mr Magoo or her? Hypocrite Again, thank you for reminding me why I left the Republican party. It’s truly been overrun by the absolute dumbest this country has to offer. Have fun in that alternate reality you live in. I’ll wait with bated breath for another witty “your mother” retort. Hypocrite

Sad times, indeed. blah blah blah another pathetic sheep

You literally don’t know what words mean. Clearly doesn't know what "traitor" means, either.

He drew me back in by responding incoherently to my “traitor” comment. I should have known better. This country is in deep trouble if people with this level of understanding gain more representation in any part of our government.

OK, argumentative discussion is fine, but clown, hypocrite, etc thrown at other posters don’t really advance anything but rancor. Disagree all you want but dial it back a bit - both sides.

Two of Trump’s promises, repeated endlessly with the emotional delivery that men tend to reserve for bar brawls, hew closely to this belief set: the vow to deport millions of immigrants; and the plan to curtail the world’s access to U.S. markets by raising tariffs — against imports from China, mainly, but also those from everywhere else. America, be afraid. Though each of these proposals alone could cause considerable damage to the economy, together they would conjure a perfect storm of self-inflicted harm. Kimberly Clausing, an economist at UCLA, put it calmly: “It is not hyperbolic at all to say this could cause a depression.” How bad? Three economists — Warwick McKibbin of the Australian National University and Megan Hogan and Marcus Noland of the Peterson Institute for International Economics — fed Trump’s proposals into a multicountry economic model that is often used by central banks, government agencies and international institutions to assess scenarios and analyze policy. They plugged in the deportation of 8.3 million unauthorized workers estimated to be toiling across the economy. They added a 60 percent tariff imposed on Chinese imports and a 10 percent tariff on imports from all other countries. For everyday Americans, reality would become a nightmare: Trump’s plan would shrink the nation’s gross domestic product by $8 trillion over a second presidency, in today’s money. That is more than a quarter of the nation’s economic output in 2024. At the end of that term, prices would be about 25 percent higher. Employment would tank. The dollar would sink. Apocalyptic stuff. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/10/22/trump-economic-policy-depression-catastrophe/

Seems like he didn’t account for the fact that he may not be dealing with “radical left lunatics” who oppose Trump. I guess that’s what happens when you listen to a narcissistic pathological liar and Facebook as sources of truth. Last comment: when I was active in bar association activities in the 1990s with other lawyers who knew my background, they all just assumed I was Republican! They couldn't wrap their heads around the fact I sought a direct commission in the Navy a mere 5 years after the US lost the Vietnam War. So, which is it? Are you a sucker or are you a loser?

NSL4A Endorses Kamala Harris for President 741 National Security Leaders, comprised of over 230 general and flag officers, including 15 retired four-star generals and admirals, 10 cabinet secretaries, 10 service secretaries, and 148 ambassadors. www.nsl4a.org/(Full disclosure, I'm an associate member). Yeah, but Trump said himself that he dislikes and disrespects the people and the service of those people if they don't agree with him. So, they lose I guess?

This thread is Trumpism and Fox News in a nutshell. These are two source information consumers. You cannot convince them of anything. They are only inclined to believe what comes out of either orange messiah’s (aka the anti-Christ) mouth or what Hannity says (because he’s a smart guy!). They will not actually try to understand economics but will accept if the right person tells them “it’s bad” that this must be true. They will say “prices are higher” but make no effort to understand why because Gutfeld said it’s Biden’s fault (and he’s so funny! Totally owns the libs!). You could present a hundred facts but they will say they’re invalid or doctored by “the machine”. They will read nothing that actually pulls back the curtains on the underlying events and mistakes that have occurred to bring us into the numerous political and economic challenges that the world faces today. They will never accept that politicians on both sides of the aisle have made costly errors and violated laws to the detriment of the American people. They cannot conceive of any of this because they believe one man and his party are “perfect”. Only the democrats are “wrong”. It’s pure crazy and incredibly sad.
