There is a long list of one-time allies and aides who have either turned against former President Donald Trump or whom he has turned against. No person in US politics – certainly no recent president – has such an expansive list of high-profile allies turned enemies. His longest-serving White House chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, delivered an incredible rebuke of Trump’s personality and leadership in an on-the-record statement to CNN’s Jake Tapper. Given that Trump is the front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2024 and simultaneously facing multiple criminal cases, both the campaign and the court proceedings could prompt additional people to speak out. What’s below is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but rather a catalog of the most notable turns by former aides and top officials whom Trump at one point chose to work for him at the White House. Some are now actively working against him. Three are running against him in the presidential primary. Others have stayed relatively quiet after resigning in protest. The link at each name includes more context. www.cnn.com/2023/10/03/politics/donald-trump-former-allies-what-matters/index.html

Just stop I don't care who supports her and our endless back and forth isn't changing anything. I'm voting for Trump because I think he's the MUCH better candidate. You're voting for her because you hate him.

In a September 2022 study from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), in Cambridge, Massachusetts (http://www.nber.org/papers/w30512), Wallace et al. compared the excess mortality among Republicans and Democrats from 2018 to 2022. Excess deaths during the pandemic were computed relative to the number of deaths observed in 2019. There was no difference in excess deaths along partisan lines in 2018, indicating that the two groups were comparable. However, since the introduction of COVID-19 vaccines, the excess death rate among Republicans was 10.4 percentage points higher than among Democrats, or 1.5 times that of the Democrats. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10003493/

I think you don’t need to entertain this any further. This exchange has provided more anecdotal evidence (on top of the vast trove of data) that Trump supporters just aren’t terribly bright. When other people on here want to ask why we don’t really have respect for the intellect of Trump supporters, just link these pages. A “your mother” response from a 50 something year old is the perfect distillation of the vacuousness and imbecility of the average Trump voter.

The quote “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt” comes to mind. Big news: Geraldo Rivera endorses Harris over his "friend" Trump!!!! HA HA HA!!!

I think I’m taking the most exception to the fact that he called you a traitor for not voting for Trump, as if Trump is somehow synonymous with the country or patriotism. Trump is the anti-patriot who led a violent coup attempt to maintain power. If anything, every single military member who votes for the insurrectionist would more accurately be described as traitors.

Better economy when he was President Lower inflation Border security Foreign relations I don't want men in womens restrooms I don't want men playing womens sports He won't just give Ukraine a blank checkbook He won't enable Iran or Hamas or criminal illegals Everything she says is a contradiction to something she said 1,2,3 years ago. She's preaching change when she's been in office the past 4 years. It's comical that she thinks the American people believe her nonsense. Obama, Pelosi, Schumer and Harris enacted a political coup against a sitting President because he was going to lose. She received the nomination without getting a single vote. She's a puppet and a bad one at that.

Georgia Supreme Court declines to reinstate Trump-allied board’s election rules The Georgia Supreme Court has declined to reinstate an array of rules approved this year by a pro-Trump majority of the state’s election board that a lower court judge had tossed last week after calling them unconstitutional and void. The decision all but ensures that the rules will not be in effect for the November vote. At issue were more than a half-dozen new rules, including one that would have mandated the hand-counting of ballots, which critics feared would delay certification of the election. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/22/georgia-supreme-court-declines-reinstate-trump-allied-boards-election-rules/

Hypocrite Seriously guy, you are an absolute clown who doesn’t really understand the word “hypocrite”. There’s nothing hypocritical there. The whole thing was a disaster, and your lord and savior Trump bears some of the blame for his negotiations with the Taliban and setting a deadline. But you obviously don’t care about facts or reason (you are almost certainly incapable of the latter). You prove my point about the intellect of Trump supporters every time you hit that “create post” button.

Blaming Trump for everything the current administration has botched the last 4 years. Are you blaming Mr Magoo's dementia on Trump? You're a clown. Funny how you make fun of Trump supporters when her supporters tried to kill him...twice. How many assassination attempts have there been against Mr Magoo or her? Hypocrite

I’ll wait with bated breath for another witty “your mother” retort.

Better economy when he was President Let’s start with the first one. Why do you think it was a better economy under Trump? If you remember correctly, Trump used the Dow Jones as his economic indicator (which it is not, but that’s another discussion). The Dow rose faster under the Obama/Biden administration and the Biden/Harris administration, reaching all-time records, than under Trump’s administration. Therefore, under Trump’s own definition or measure, the economy is better under the Biden/Harris administration.
