The women, of course, was the 2012 National NCAA XC champs. That team was packed, even if some of the runners did not run XC. Emily Infeld, Katrina Coogam, Rachel Schneider, Kristen Kasper, Emily Jones, Andrea Keklak, Hannah Neczypor. Plus a grad transfer from Harvard, Clair Richardson.
For the men the Hoyas finished 13th in 2007 with Andrew Bumbalough. The 2008 team was tied for 10th, with Bumbi finishing 13th. Bumbi finished 8th in 2009, but the team dropped to 22nd, like last year. Also, 2004 with a 15th place finish with 8 Rod Koborsi 31:06.4 43 Chris Lukezic 32:07.8 50 Fleet Hower 32:16.1 138 Steve Meinelt 33:22.6 161 Brian Dalpiaz 33:38.4 177 Chris Esselborn 34:10.5 186 Dan Nunn 34:37.8
Interesting lineup with the last two Georgetown 10000m record holders in Koborsi and Nunn, before Robert Brandt decimated those records. Of course, Chris Lukezic was one of the US top milers.

Actually, the best finish that I can remember was 2003 with a 7th place finish.
34 Chris Lukezic, So 30:21.1 35 Rod Koborsi, Jr 30:21.2 43 Javon Broderick, Sr 30:27.9 81 Fleet Hower, So 30:54.5 90 Matt DeBole, Fr 31:00.6 104 Chris Esselborn, So 31:06.5 153 Dan Tebbano, Sr 31:37.3
Well, probably the best finish of all was my class of '66 with a 5th place finish in 1965 with my classmate Eamonn O'Reilly (former American marathon record holder) in 2nd place.

In the regional rankings the men jumped from 3rd to 1st to Nova's 2nd, Princeton 3rd.
The women remain in first.
