Brutal injury - one of the worst foot injuries there is. A Lisfranc is basically fracture dislocation of all the metatarsal-phalangeal joints in the forefoot. Regardless of whether it needs surgery he's in for 1-3 months of non=-weightbearing and a similar time of partial weight bearing before he can really begin rehab. I wouldn't blame this on his slight frame either - my wife had a similar Lisfranc injury and I can assure you she is not 7-0 and 195 pounds (but she was a competitive skiier back in the day - well before that injury).

This guy was a question mark to me because of his slight frame as no 1 overall along with not dominating at Gonzaga during the tournament. There was just risk because of his height to weight ratio and problems big men have had with foot injuries (Yao Ming, Rik Smits) or knee injuries (Ralph Sampson) Challenging the most yoked man in the NBA in a summer league game wasn’t the smartest move. Bounced off Lebron like a rag doll. Silver lining is that he may be able to learn at an early stage in his career to play smarter. When MJ broke his foot landing in his 2nd year that made MJ think for a year and he became more careful and programmed on his dunks and athleticism. I think that injury actually prolonged his career and prevented serious injury because before the injury MJ thought he was Superman and would fly all over the place with reckless abandon. Other silver lining is OKC can tank again and get another high pick next year.
