Without fanfare, Georgetown has posted its season ticket map, below, with various price points. One item is surprising, and if I'm missing something, please correct me. It appears that the student sections previously in sections 115-118 (listed in black) are being sold to the public instead and that a section of the 400's that are empty are identified in the color for student tickets, namely, 424 to 427. Is ticket demand that strong that student overflow is going to end up in the worst seats in the building? ![](https://wearegeorgetown.com/wp-content/uploads/Season_Ticket_Map_Pricing.jpg)

Imagine paying $10,000 to watch a Pat Ewing team play. Talk about having no respect for money.

It appears this upper level has always been an option. For comparison, here's the season ticket map from 2013: ![](https://web.archive.org/web/20220613172251im_/http://wearegeorgetown.s3.amazonaws.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/1314_season_ticket_prices.jpg)

The year after the 2007 FF run, they definitely sent overflow students to the upper deck. That's the only time I recall that happening. Maybe for a Cuse game here or there.

I remember sitting in the upper deck as a student for #5 Louisville the 2012-13 season.

Is the “athletics contribution” connected to the Hoop Club?

Is the “athletics contribution” connected to the Hoop Club? As I understand it, yes. Formerly, I believe there was a separate membership fee for the HHC but the HHC is now essentially subsumed by the Athletic Department.

You can contribute to anything, it just has to add up to the donation amount. So you could contribute to soccer or football and that would allow you to buy the tickets if the amount was sufficient. This is a blessing and a curse. Many who already make sizeable donations then buy tickets because it is a drop in the bucket. The issue comes in though that they rarely attend games so those tickets can sit empty.
As someone who has bought season tickets for about twenty years, I am going to continue with my donation to the University as usual, but I don't think I can stomach buying tickets and watching a full season in person. This year kind of broke it for me coupled with the schools response or lack thereof. I support Pat, I can't stomach the thought of Ronny pulling a check while broadcasting for another school and the general hoops support staffing (Howze and the other hangers on) is just malpractice when all AD directed sports are doing well relative to the resources committed. I still support the team and I'll come back if they can get things heading in the right direction but 8 transfers in, minimal graduates, no long term vision, and a lot of L's are just too painful to stomach. I'll buy an individual game or two but a whole season to watch kids who will likely be gone in a year is just too much.
