Where do you even start on this?? #1 - it's a freeking exhibition game and the first one at that. #2 - do exhibition games even matter to anyone but us here on HoyaTalk?? #3 - we here on HoyaTalk have been waiting 7 months for some game action of any kind so we can stop devouring our young with sniping and sarcasm. #4 - toss all of that out because we have game action and the first --and only -- news we have is that we did well. Maybe real well. #5 - the saner posters among us feel an instinctive reflex to rush in and quell any trace of optimism so we aren't crushed by what may follow. #6 - then Hibernatinghoyafan short circuits the whole thing with a post expressing unbridled joy and optimism and my whole evening just changed. Basketball is back, ladies and gentlemen -- and you know what? The Hoyas may be back, too, em-effers! Yeah!!!! Hoya Saxa, y'all -- let's go!!!!!!!!

Unconfirmed rumors of beating a mid pack AAC team in an exhibition is all we have - and yet it gives many of us (including me) some form of optimism/hope. My god, we really are DePaul now.

There is a rumor going around that Georgetown ran us out of the gym. I've heard conflicting reports. I have team managers saying Temple won while a bunch of Temple fans are running with the fact that they lost. Don't know who to listen to. |

We have guys on here who are incapable of saying anything nice about the program or players, who nevertheless post more than anyone else and openly rag on players. We all appreciate the difference between folks like you and the haters, particularly when it comes to bashing guys on the roster. The season hasn't even started: can we dispense with this idea of "haters"? We are all fans here. Anyone who "hates" the team walked away years ago. --Admin |
