Yes! And please let them do it SOON, i.e., convict him of any of the alleged crimes he has committed. If they wait until he announces, 45 will frame it as revenge and persecution and fire up the unhinged a$$clowns. They have to get it done before he announces.
Also, think of the precedents that 45 has set before us -- the corruption, the lying, the obstruction, the inciting, the weaponizing of the justice dept and the IRS, and now the blatant violations of the Espionage Act -- and the opportunity we have to cement some core democratic values by charging 45 and declaring that no one is above the law, that we have in place institutions and processes to address unlawful actions that threaten the very foundation of our republic. If we let all of that slide, it will be a whole different declaration about our legal system and not one that bodes well for the future.
"Nail him up! Nail him up, I say!" (Monty Python reference - can you identify the movie and scene?)

It has to be that the entirety of the FBI and the DOJ are corrupt. It can't be that Trump doesn't care about laws and never cared to learn and, willingly or otherwise, violated several of them. Amirite HoyaTalk "Republicans?" You hypocrites are SO quiet. Keep "voting with your wallets," dummies.

It just strikes me as preposterous that any functioning adult - unlike Trump himself or maybe also Late-Stage Rudy - could actually think this had any chance of happening. Like... there's wishcasting, there's delusion, and then there's "Oh, we can just use this one weird trick to steal the election and the whole country will just go along with it." Like, Peter Navarro is a maniac in many ways, but he's also someone whose relationship to Trump is purely transactional - there's no *actual* loyalty there that might blind someone, the way you see with cult leaders. I guess you may be able to divide the Trumpists into two groups: The true cultists who actually believe every lie that emanates from his mouth and the transactional power-hungry sycophants like Navarro and Clark. The latter category would include most of the political class who know full well what a malignant narcissist Trump actually is but know that he is their ticket to power because of his support from the MAGA GOP base, the former category I refer to in my first sentence. Yeah, I think this is a helpful way to think about it, even if any such framework is going to be overgeneralized/oversimplified. Maybe a four-part taxonomy: 1. The Marks: True believers. Your stereotypical low-information whites w/o college degrees but with Fox News or OANN on 24/7. They can fill the rafters at some rallies, but they can't really organize much. 2. The Users: They think they're using Trump for their own personal advancement and enrichment, but have found that him being President is the ultimate "dog catching the car" moment. 3. The Edgelords: They don't actually believe Trump is a God Emperor, even if they've produced a hundred 8chan memes to that effect. They mostly just want to see the lib/normie world burn, and Trump is a chaos agent to that end. You can throw in the Boogaloo Boys and other such chuds in here. 4. The Hyperpartisans: All's fair in love and war, and we're in a Cold Civil War. If the cost of Team Red triumphing over Team Blue is putting up with Team Orange until he finally kicks the bucket, then so be it.

Well, Biden sold our country to China, no mean feat, since Hillary had already sold our country to China 4 years earlier.. Maybe it should have been Biden who wrote The Art of The Deal. I'll let my previous posts tell you whether this is satire.

Points for giving us John Paul Jones in the Cyrillic. I'll take the points where I can get 'em - not exactly a great time to be a Russophone, given the whole "brutal war of revanchist, imperialist aggression by a despicable authoritarian regime" thing.

FWIW, what you wrote may be, generally, true. But, your perspective during this particular time is very much welcomed.
