We all know we have a problem with defense. Remember I am the one who created the thread "What Can We Do About Our Defense?" Remember I started that thread. But my post wasn't about our defense. My post was about Creighton's PnR and how we defended it last year proving that Patrick knows how to defend it. Notice, no easy layups from the PnR this game. Now if you want to talk about the three point shooting of Creighton's, it is obvious we are still working on that aspect of our game. But, if you wanna know what we did to defend it last year, just go and look at that video that you said I posted 5 times and you will see that they stopped Creighton's three point shooting too in that game. Remember we beat them by damn near 30. It is going to take some time for this bunch. They are just too inexperienced. Notice, I didn't say they weren't talented. I said they were inexperienced. It's been 5 years of horrible defense... And it has been 5 years of instability on our roster as well. |

So again what are you celebrating exactly....that we have cut off one aspect of their offense and they are beating us by 17 and might score 90 on us? They score 30...I am with you...it's not even remotely effective defense again tonight... As you say numbers don't lie We all know we have a problem with defense. Glad to hear our head coach is throwing our freshman star under the bus in pregame media meetings. “Had his worst game on Saturday”…. Great stuff. You know this degree of mental contortion and blatant disregard for the intelligence of others is an illness, right? |

We're the best 3-point team in the BE facing the worst. We have 1, they have 8. Rice and Carey need an offensive scheme that will open them up for clean looks. If the only reason we are #1 in threes is Rice getting hot and Carey getting open, then the defensive assignment isn't so hard. Just means we have to adjust and move the ball and set picks to open them up. For God's sake, let's go. Start the second half with a 3 and I'll know we figured something out during halftime.

Don’t understand how we continue to let Dante lead the team in shot attempts. He should be the 4th option behind Don, Aminu, and Rice He’s due to find that “chip” he had at MSG last March. We’ll be fine once he gets that back. Has to shoot a lot to find it apparently… |

When you sign players (McClung and Akinjo) who had previously been committed elsewhere or take someone (Alexander) who got dismissed from a place like LSU, you can’t be surprised when they don’t exhaust their eligibility with you. |
