Big time shooter, solid athlete, and probably still growing. Currently holding offers from Georgetown and George Mason. Plays for Team Takeover as well.

Now healthy after a hand injury that ended his season in last year’s WCAC Playoffs, Harris is back to serve as the perimeter sniper that gives this loaded PVI squad yet another dimension. He averaged 9.8 points per game for the weekend, highlighted by 17 points and four 3-pointers in a big win over St. Frances. www.dmvelite.com/news_article/show/1230386#.YrSBTgoPvmc.twitter

Darren Harris is absolute cash money from three. The rising junior guard can shoot the lights out. He finished with a team-high 20 points, on 7-13 from the field and 5-11 from three. Duke’s head coach Jon Scheyer looked on, as well as Ohio State’s Chris Holtmann. Both schools have offered. Viriginia Tech associate head coach Mike Jones was also sidelined. www.on3.com/news/live-blog-eybl-session-4-live-evaluation-period/

Wasn’t the “new staff” supposed to be on the local grind?

Darren Harris is on the shortlist for best shooters in the country. Quite simply, the 6-foot-5 wing from Fairfax (VA) Paul VI has the green light, and he lets it fly. In the matchup against Richmond (VA) John Marshall, Harris shot six threes; he made all six. The ball was not in his hands for more than eight seconds on those six makes. Duke, Maryland, and a host of other schools are in on Harris, On3’s No. 56 player in the 2024 class. www.on3.com/news/shaw-standouts-and-breakouts-from-cbg-live-session-1/

Who’s heavily involved in your recruitment? “I would say, Duke, Maryland, Ohio State, Miami, and UConn are the most involved right now.” Duke gets the first official visit, thoughts on them? “Duke Is a great program obviously. They also show a lot of support. They've been in our gym more than any other school for me, and that means a lot. I met with Coach Scheyer and Coach Amile after practice and that went great too.” Thoughts on Ohio State? “Ohio State is amazing. I recently visited, and the facilities and campus are top-notch. I talked a lot with the entire coaching staff, we watched film and broke down my film from the summer. It was great. They emphasize how much of a priority I am and I definitely feel that.” The local school, Maryland? “I recently visited Maryland also. It went great, Coach Willard and his staff are great. Coach Skinn reaches out a lot, and their staff has done a really good job keeping the elite local talent home. I will probably visit them again in the future.” stockrisers.com/s/458/top-50-junior-darren-harris-locks-in-duke-visit-talks-recruitment

Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic four-star recruit Darren Harris tells On3 he’s down to four schools: Maryland, Duke, Ohio State, and Miami. Harris, a 6-foot-6 class of 2024 shooting guard, has taken unofficial visits to Maryland and Ohio State. He will take his first official visit to Duke on October 14th-16th. Maryland: “Maryland is the closest school to me that’s actively recruiting me. I really like their staff and what they’re building over there. My teammate Deshawn (Harris-Smith) just committed there and I hear nothing but good things.” Duke: “Duke is obviously a historic program, and has a great culture. Coach (Jon) Scheyer has been recruiting me since after my freshman year. They’ve been in our gym for workouts just as much as anybody, which means a lot. I have an official on the 14th.” Ohio State: “I loved my visit there. I talk to the coaches every single day. The facilities are crazy. And the program is in a really good spot right now. They made it clear I’m a big priority there.” Miami: “Coach L is very close with my family. He coached my dad in college at George Mason, and my dad now coaches his grandkids for AAU. I talk to him and coach (Bill) Courtney a lot, and they make me feel like family. They’re coming off a great run in the tournament, which is cool.” www.on3.com/news/4-star-darren-harris-down-to-4-schools/

So hopefully we can shut down this thread and numerous others that have nothing to do with Georgetown or its recruiting??? I'm not arguing if there is zero connection between a recruit and Grown... Just going by the posts in the thread, we are confirmed to have offered in Jan and a June article posted here saying Gtown was one the schools in contact w/him. I would say the thread started w/the right intentions if you want to say get rid of threads once it becomes obvious Gtown is no longer involved than I will state the obvious nobody on this board is going to monitor something like that...
