"It’s not that Kayden Mingo was setting out to be the leading scorer on the No. 2 high school team in the country, Long Island Lutheran (N.Y.), but the 6-foot-3 point guard wasn’t surprised when that became his reality this season... The mental shift has given Mingo quite an impressive list of potential college suitors. Ole Miss, Washington and Old Dominion have all recently begun to apply pressure trying to lure Mingo. Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Virginia, Georgetown, Wake Forest, SMU, Penn State, California, St. Louis and Virginia Tech continue to reach out. “I only had three offers coming into this season,” said Mingo, who added that he’s planning to visit Wake Forest, Penn State and Virginia Tech after the season. “My coaches and my family always kept telling me to keep my head down and keep working; just stay consistent. Now, things are moving. "Me and my dad sit down and watch the different teams to study their styles and see how well I’d fit with what they do. It’s been a pretty cool process so far. That just makes me want to go harder every day.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/kayden-mingo-stepping-up-as-a-leader-on-a-loaded-team

Those look like highlights from a Georgetown v Gallaudet football game. That's an obscure reference. The two teams haven't met for over 30 years.

OK - that one's a little more obscure. Played in the Pep Band at GU v. GU football games at Kehoe Field in the early and mid-1970s. We were restricted in when we could bang our bass drum as that is how Gallaudet players received their snap count.

"Mikey Wilkins is a 6-foot-8 power forward who plays with a motor that makes him hard not to notice. Wilkins transferred to Arden (NC) Christ School this off-season, which is who he played with during this first scholastic live period. A who’s who of college coaches showed up to watch the 2025 prospect, including head coaches from Clemson and Mississippi State, along with a slew of power five assistant coaches. Immediately, you see Wilkins’ propensity for chasing rebounds. He goes and gets it in and out of his area with good instincts and a purpose. Offensively, he has a lot of tools to work through, and it seems like they are still figuring out how to best use him. Wilkins has touch, which he showed when his feet are set beyond the three-point line. He is also an excellent passer, able to push the break off a rebound or run the offense from the top of the key. He also has some footwork and balance, with touch, on the block. Wilkins currently claims offers from Virginia Tech, Iowa, South Carolina, LSU, Illinois, Mississippi State, and others." www.on3.com/news/north-and-south-carolina-live-period-top-performers/"Georgetown & Virginia Tech are the latest to offer 2025 frtoncourt prospect Zymicah Wilkins. Physical & rugged rim finisher who is a powerful post presence. Continues to flash growing offensive versatility & floorspacing ability when given enough space on the perimeter. Plays with a relentless motor which makes him productive on the offensive glass & when running the floor. The North Carolina native has added offers from South Carolina, LSU, Illinois, & more this spring." www.madehoops.com/made-society/articles/made_recruiting_report_2025_1.aspx"4A Asheville (NC) Christ School vs. Charlotte (NC) Providence Day Final Score: Christ School 56, Providence Day 45 Christ School worked early to establish junior forward Mikey Wilkins, and they were able to. The Greenies played through the 6-foot-8 Wilkins for the duration of the game, and Providence Day had a tough time. Wilkins scored from each level on the court. He faced up and attacked in the half-court. He knocked down pick and op jump shots and he scored on the block. Wilkins is a quick processor with the ball in his hands, delivering timely passes from multiple levels. He battles on the block and brings a toughness to the court. Wilkins finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks." www.on3.com/news/ncisaa-state-championships-top-performers-and-recaps/

"Jackson Keith, the No. 2 ranked player in the state of North Carolina for the junior class, will be in attendance for the NC State game Wednesday night, he told On3. The Wolfpack will take on neighboring No. 7-ranked North Carolina. The 6-foot-5 small forward out of Durham (NC) Southern High holds an offer from the Wolfpack, along with schools like Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Illinois, Virginia Tech, SMU, LSU, and others. Keith, a four-star recruit, has been on NC State’s campus multiple times for unofficial visits." www.on3.com/college/nc-state-wolfpack/news/4-star-sf-jackson-keith-to-be-in-attendance-for-nc-state-game-against-unc/

He is alot like Sorber in the fact once he gets into shape is going to be unstoppable. We need to get him on campus because I think it's basically right now between us and South Carolina. He is alot like Derrickson right now. But he could be more if he got into prime shape.

"The backcourt of Derek Dixon and Nyk Lewis shines. Dixon and Lewis are one of the top backcourts in the DMV and played a major role in their run to the WCAC finals. For Dixon, he came up clutch in their win over Dematha knocking down key free throws to ice the game. At 6-foot-3 he can play on or off the ball, shoot it from deep and be a reliable playmaker. Notably Dixon finshed with 22 points and 7 rebounds against Bishop Irenton in the quarterfinals and followed that up with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. For Lewis, he is a more of a true point guard but took on more of a scoring role and controlled the glass over the weekend. Lewis averaged 8 rebounds over the last two games and used his body to finish through contact and made winning plays for his team." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/derek-dixon-malcolm-thomas-isaiah-abraham--227749076/
