Just like it being Biden's fault that the preparations for the January 6 visit by patriots to the Capitol weren't better. Morons, morons everywhere, as far as the eye can see.

McCarthy is such an idiot. Blaming Democrats is so fundamentally dishonest, and now he’s going to have to rely on them for him to keep his job as speaker. A brilliant strategist he is not.

They're actually, somehow, getting worse at this.

The refusal of MSNBC to air the obviously newsworthy event of Trump's Iowa victory speech is one of the darkest chapters in the history of the first amendment of the United States. From now on, no Republican office holder should ever appear on the clearly and Un shamefully partisan censoring MSNBC network. This was a truly sad and tragic day for America's fourth estate.
You can take as much air time as you like to attack/refute/deride/rebut the content but censorship and promoting darkness rather than light is never ok in America.

Was there no need for a fact-checker during his speech? Did he talk about the rigged elections? Was he outraged about the Joe Biden-ordered indictments? Did he repeat that he didn’t know his sexual victim E. Jean Carroll? Did he mention that there was no victim in his NY real estate deals, well, other than the taxpayers? Did he acknowledge that he lost Iowa in 2016 to Ted Cruz and that this was his first primary win in Iowa? Note: In case you cannot open the Twitter link, Trump tells the Iowa crowd that this was his third win in Iowa. Your fake victimhood is noted.

HH79 has no understanding of the First Amendment which one might have learned in a high school level civics class. If he wishes to identify the state action resulting in MSNBC's private editorial decision, I'd be happy to hear it. But perhaps he doesn't comprehend how state action is a necessary predicate before the First Amendment is even implicated. Law degree from online Trump School of Law, perhaps? Next thing you know it, he'll be whining about the $787.5 million settlement Fox Propaganda paid to Dominion as impinging upon Fox's First Amendment rights. 🤔

I think Republican brains are full-on broken at this point. There is no other explanation.

For HH79's continuing legal education. The state action requirement refers to the requirement that in order for a plaintiff to have standing to sue over a law being violated, the plaintiff must demonstrate that the government (local, state, or federal), was responsible for the violation, rather than a private actor. www.law.cornell.edu/wex/state_action_requirement#:~:text=The%20state%20action%20requirement%20refers,rather%20than%20a%20private%20actor. Fox News further argued in its court filings that its broadcasts were constitutionally protected under the First Amendment. We strongly disagree, as did the judge in this case. There is little doubt that Dominion’s suit for damages met and indeed exceeded the standard the Supreme Court established in 1964 in New York Times Co. v. Sullivan for deciding when the First Amendment shields whoever disseminates material damaging to the reputation of a public official or public figure from liability. The standard set by that case and respected thousands of times since has been that the publisher of such material can be found liable if it knew the statement was false or acted with reckless disregardfor its truth or falsity. The law is clear that reckless disregard – that is, indifference to truth – is enough to establish liability for resulting reputational harm. In Dominion’s case, there appears to be overwhelming evidence that Fox News, its producers, and its hosts were more than just reckless. Dominion’s pinpointing of actual quotations from those individuals, including Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, is breathtaking. www.justsecurity.org/85918/fox-news-recent-setback-against-dominion-is-a-major-victory-for-the-first-amendment/

Trump won Iowa in the 2016 general, 2020 general and the 2024 primary. That's three.
