This one will help the RPI, in addition to be a giant LOL:
Congrats to Nikki Izzo-Brown for taking what looked like a rather low energy WVU squad this year and getting themselves a ring and a ticket to the tourney.

Alright, credit where it's due, very well-crafted post-game remarks here from Nate. Maybe he's learning! And he's definitely got the Xavier program trending in the right direction.

Great job, Hoyas! The commentary was painful but the game was great. I mean, I like Fanta, but he's not everybody's cup of tea. On the flip side...as much as we all rag on FloSports, at least they let you watch replays on demand. No such luck with FS1.

Hoyas RPI goes from 19 to 16. If the committee goes just by RPI, that would give the Hoyas the final #4 seed.

Anybody have a clue as to whether there will be TV or streaming for the Hofstra game?

There's still nothing on the GUHoyas schedule page, but Hoyas-Hofstra is currently listed on the ESPN+ streaming schedule for Saturday.

It is also listed on FloFC as an upcoming event this Saturday. Thank all those for help on this forum.

Kudos to Xavier for representing the Big East well by going down to Knoxville and coming away with a 4-1 AET (yes, they scored 3 goals in added extra time) win over 6-seed Tennessee.
While the conference has gotten a lot more respect on the men's side the last few years, thanks to some really good tournament performances by Georgetown and Providence especially (and Creighton's always a real tough out too, plus some some new faces in the mix), the women's side is basically the ACC and SEC invitational, plus the west coast powers. Would love to see three bids as the absolute floor for the conference year in and year out.
Check out goal number three:

ESPN+ stream actually working this year, unlike last year's opening round. 0-0 with 41:20 to play in the first half.

Halftime, still 0-0. Leas did a fantastic job of emergency defending with a couple minutes left to prevent a 1vAugur situation. Hoyas hit the crossbar on a header by Means off a corner and Leas header early, but neither team has generated a good shot in the box. Leas did have a shot outside the box that Hofstra keeper spilled, but nobody was around for the finish.

Hoyas lead 1-0, 23:39 to play. Started with a great pass from Augur to an open Means by midfield, then Means with a good run down the right side into the box, beating a couple Pride defenders, and crossing to an open Harwood for the goal.
