My son goes to the same high school (Olympia High School). He's a good high school point guard.

I went to his game last night. He is a heck of a point guard. He had 26 of his teams 60 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

ON SCHOOLS INVOLVED IN HIS RECRUITMENT "I’ve been talking to Florida and Ole Miss the most. Also, SMU." ON FLORIDA “We talk a lot. I talk to Coach [Erik] Pastrana. He’s a nice guy. He’s cool. We've got a cool relationship and we're getting to know each other. There’s a lot of love. They want me and they are showing me it would be a good fit for me.” ON OLE MISS “They like what they see. They are telling me to keep it up and that they want to get the whole process started.” ON MIAMI, WHERE HE FATHER BECAME A FOOTBALL STAR “We chatted a couple times and they came to a couple of practices. With my dad, though, he doesn’t push me. He doesn’t care if I go to Miami or where I go. He just wants what’s best for me in any situation.” ON VISITS HE HOPES TO TAKE “I’d like to go to Florida. I’m working on that now, actually.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/ole-miss-florida-others-in-pursuit-of-edgerrin-james-jr-

We went to one of his games last month. In a half court set, He caught the ball in the paint and drop stepped a two handed slam. Not something that you see a 6’1 point guard do on a regular basis.

Ranked No. 67 overall and as the No. 9 point guard in the class of 2023 by 247Sports, Jizzle James capped off a very strong weekend in Kansas City with one last strong performance for the Florida Rebels as they ended a really good weekend while playing without their five-star anchor Sean Stewart (with USA Basketball). The son of NFL great Edgerrin James, it comes as no surprise that James is as tough as they come in the class of 2023. He's never intimidated by what is happening or who he's playing against and he just keeps making plays that impact winning basketball games. He finds teammates in good position to score, he makes timely jump shots and he just never stops coming at his opponent on either end of the floor. The guy is just a lot of fun to watch and you have to respect the way that he goes about handling his business. After building a relationship with him while at Florida, Georgia's Mike White and staff have been prioritizing James and should be getting an official visit from him shortly after Peach Jam. Cincinnati has been picking things up, the new Florida staff is picking things up, Providence has offered and others like Georgetown and NC State are involved as well. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/LongFormArticle/Basketball-recruiting-Nike-EYBL-TJ-Power-Jizzle-James-Dylan-Harper-Nick-Janowski-189968584/#189968584_4

Don’t think we recruiting him. Wouldn’t make sense after Allen popped.

Don’t think we recruiting him. Wouldn’t make sense after Allen popped. Why would it not make sense? They play different positions, for one thing. Also they're from the same neck of the woods, they might know each other and want to play together.

Throughout the spring and now into the summer at Nike's Peach Jam with the Florida Rebels, four-star point guard Jizzle James of Orlando (Fla.) Olympia has been one of the most steady guards in the class of 2023. After this weekend, he'll be turning his attention more to the college process. Ranked No. 67 overall in his class, the rising senior knows how to use his 6-foot-1, 180 pound frame to separate himself from others at his position. "I think it is physicality and that I’m able to score," James told 247Sports. "I’m able to put others in open spots and help others get going. I think I play both sides of the ball, I will help rebound and I’m a gritty guard who can do a little bit of it all.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basektball-recruiting-four-star-Jizzle-James-son-of-Edgerrin-James-sets-first-visit-Florida-Georgia-LSU-190312847/
