According to Rooths, he hasn't gotten too deep into his recruitment yet. He did visit Georgetown and Maryland unofficially prior to leaving for IMG and mentioned a pair of SEC programs in Auburn and Georgia that are showing more interest. Auburn: "I'm just getting to know about Auburn. But I know that they only pick a very good and select few guys to recruit and I think they run a pretty good system." Georgetown: "They just tell me to keep working and that I'm their guy." Georgia: "I talk to them pretty often. I know one of them came out to watch me today. They tell me to just keep pushing and and keep developing and keep my dog mindset of changing the game any way that I can." Maryland: "He kind of reminds me of coach Mac a little bit. I like how he's a real family oriented guy but puts the battery in all of his players and he's going to get on them if he needs to. I see his focus on the DMV for sure and like that he wants to keep guys home." According to Rooths, he wants to finish his junior season before shifting his attention to recruiting. Then he'll start to figure out where he wants to visit. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/College-basketball-recruiting-top-30-junior-Khani-Rooths-discusses-Auburn-Georgia-Georgetown-and-Maryland-200652859/

"What he did: IMG Academy played without star Bryson Tucker on Saturday, and Rooths helped carry the lost production in a win over a Newton (Ga,) High School squad that featured five-star guard Stephon Castle. Rooths showed a little bit of everything in the contest, finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists. He did turn the ball over five times, but most of those were aggressive turnovers, not passive ones. Rooths routinely forces action and creates matchup issues because of his length and agility. It’s clear that the junior’s confidence is growing rapidly and he’s thriving because of it. Recruitment: Rooths has taken unofficial visits to Virginia Tech and Georgia. He is considering possible official visits to both Georgia and Ohio State, but seems to be in no rush to narrow his focus." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/the-cassidy-awards-hoophall-classic-3

"Rooths is an intriguing prospect because of his frame, length and ability to play on both the perimeter and the paint and his stock seems to be rising as he develops and showcases his skill against top-flight competition at IMG Academy, to which he transferred in the offseason. It’s much too early to guess where Rooths might land, as he’s likely to grab additional offers this summer, but Georgia, Maryland and Virginia Tech seem most involved for the time being." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-khani-rooths-mulling-possible-visits-to-uga-ohio-state

"The Michigan signee showed why Juwan Howard and the Wolverines are so excited to have him in Ann Arbor next season. At 6-foot-8, his ability to play and defend all five positions made him invaluable and immensely effective all over the floor. Rooths best game was in a win over CIA where he posted 19 points, including 8 of 10 from the field, and six rebounds." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/jordan-awards-la-porte-invitationalMight be somebody to continue monitoring with Howard expected to get the boot at Michigan.
