Forgive me if a thread on him exists. I scanned quickly and didn't see one.
Trust me when I tell you the hype for this kid is going to build soon. Definite 5 star. Should be the priority for 2024. Georgetown has already offered and I believe we were his first. This summer, he's picked up offers from Maryland, Va Tech, Xavier, LSU, and Cincy.
6'7 playmaker who can score from all 3 levels. Really long, really good ball skills. Physically he reminds me of Otto and he's probably not done growing. I saw him at Live (DeMatha) and thought he was one of the better players there (if not the best). Pat was in attendance. Couldn't believe he was only a soph.

Would be the first kid from Gtown Prep since Markel right?

First scholarship player since Markel. Muresan brothers went to Prep. George gave us some good minutes.

You are right and I am wrong. For some reason I thought they went to Georgetown Prep. Anyways, I hope Rooths follows in the footsteps of Roy and Markel.

NR PF Khani Rooths Size: 6-8/195 High School: Cumberland (MD) Bishop Walsh Khani Rooths walks on the floor, looking the part. He has long arms with broad shoulders, and he moves so well for a player who is 6-foot-8. Rooths is confident with footwork and touch in the mid-range and the mid-post. He moves very fluidly, and he seems to continue to get better. Playing up with the New World 17u program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Rooths carries offers from Indiana, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, and others. www.on3.com/news/four-new-players-to-expect-in-on3s-updated-2024-rankings/

"Among the schools involved in his recruitment, Rooth says the following schools are keeping in the most contact: Auburn, Maryland, Georgetown, Georgia, Ohio State, and Illinois... So far, the DMV native has made visits to Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Georgetown. At this time, Rooths says he’s not sure which schools he will visit officially. Virginia Tech: “I like how they have a set. They let their players get off and they are well-coached. It’s a real family atmosphere and that’s what I’m looking for.” Georgetown: “Their coaching staff is great, I love them. They’ve done a good job recruiting me. It’s really been about the coaches at Georgetown.” Maryland: “They’ve been having a good season so far and the coaching is great. I’ve gotten pretty close with some of the coaches. It’s close to home.” www.on3.com/news/four-star-forward-khani-rooths-updates-his-recruitment/
