He was still cut from varsity because the coaches didn’t think he was good enough to contribute, I don’t understand your point? That’s the truth. He didn’t play varsity again until he was a junior. You think that’s the typical path for an NBA hall of famer? Don’t you realize that there are far less talented players who were on that varsity team he was cut from? That’s the point. He overcame being overshadowed and forgotten about. Yeah but if he grew from 5'9" t0 6'4" then he didn't necessarily have to improve his skills by that much to become a D1 player. Anthony Davis was a mid major CG but with his growth spurts he became the #1 recruit in his class. His skill level wasn't great but 3* PG/SG skills on a 6'11" dude is a problem. 3* PG/SG skills on a 6'2" dude gets you to E. Illinois or wherever he was going...... Agreed.

We always seem to do well with the moms. And, I love that. I'm not saying one should always listen to one's mom. But, all other things being equal, listen to your mom.

Brandon, mom hasn't steered you wrong yet! Listen to her; choose Georgetown!

Seems like Coach Ewing and the staff are moving on to the '23 class at this point and not as focused on the '22 recruits. I know they are supposed to have a few official visits set for some '22 kids and maybe they can land one more of them, but it doesn't look like they are trying to add too many more high school players to next years group.

I wouldn't read too much into it tbh. This is the time of year when you have to do both since it's hard to get to kids games in season. Especially when you're talking about kids like Gardner and Jackson. Don't think they're looking to reach on a 22 kid, but think they like the ones who are on their board and will still pursue them vigorously.

That's as much love as I've seen a recruit give us... maybe ever.
Don't want to jump the gun but he'd certainly look good in B&G!
