Love this guy...remains my top priority...just brings another invaluable dimension to the game with his uncanny ability to see/find others and consistently hit them with timely passes...and he can shoot...he is a true lead guard and at 6'4 is a perfect compliment to Dante...Denver is not a point guard imo, he's a 2GD who is a knock down shooter who might develop into a PG for the next level over time...my wish list remains Denver, Rowan and the best possible SF (Watson, or someone else)...

I wonder what the staff's thoughts are, and obviously Rowan's as well, not that we have Denver and he said that the staff wants him to run pg eventually

I'm glad we have the sharp shooter Anglin. My next recruit wish is Watson follow by Livingston or Whitmore and in that order. If we can't get Livingston or Whitmore, I hope we can get a wing from the transfer market and I preferably would like to get a senior or a very good junior.

Anglin is not a PG, but an undersized SG. Same as McClung and DSR. He will do fine in college.

So much Speculation about how good DEVIN, he might be started my thinking about Outstanding Hoys duos. This is just for fun. There are no precise rules.
First great-pairing of the JT Era, shortly after the stupendous and oh so close loss to Pisttol Pete, was:
Merlin "The Magician" Smith - 6'9 center was held back by injuries, but kid was unstoppable on the boards. and Jonathan "Swift" Smith. These two kids were outstanding hoyas early on. Super athlete like we hadn't seen at GU. Athletes like that did not fly onto the court, except for on surprising kid -- Artie White. (OK, pre-JT) Nonetheless. Recruiting kids like Swift and Wilson who each played for JT at St. Antonys.was huge
Other super pairings. Duran and Shelton Duran and Sleepy Duran & Jackson Patrick and any and everyone who ever played with him.
Wingate & Wiilams Iverson and Page (More could have been than actually was) Whittington and Porter Wright & Freeman
Mac and Akinjo, but they couldn't mesh, Had th physical skill to be so much more. Could Aminu and Riley actually turn out to be the physical studs and productive players (on O and D) we are hoping for? For Pat's sake (not Pete's) let's hope so.
Anyway, have some fun. See who you can think of.

See who you can think of. I love my old school Hoyas but Aminu and Riley are going to turn out to be the greatest. It should be Iverson and Page but they only played for a year together (I think). Aminu and Riley are going to be high flyers like Iverson and Page. Patrick's partner is Michael Graham which were a bad bad duo except Graham only started for a few games and he was a bad boy but a few games starting ain't enough. Also, Graham messed up in his second year fooling around and ended up getting forced out of the university. However, if it weren't for Michael Graham, we may not have that NCAA title in my opinion.

Too bad there’s no way on this site to start a new thread to talk about all of this unrelated stuff.
I hope Rowan selects us.

Brumbaugh said he is releasing a top 6 tonight. Given he took an official to Georgetown and he's subsequently joined the team for runs, the Hoyas should comfortably be in the top 6 unless he was turned off by the Anglin commitment, which he shouldn't have been. Maryland is thinner at guard than Georgetown at the moment and also got a visit, so the Terps should also make the cut. He's also visited Northwestern, Minnesota, and Wisconsin this summer. His list should shed some light on how he feels about the Gard drama at Wisconsin and the seriousness of the interest of Kansas, Duke, and Texas. Creighton, Marquette, Butler, and Providence are other Big East teams who may be under consideration.
