If Rice is a point guard, we don't need him either. We have two in Dante and Tyler. We don't need anymore. What we need are small forwards. I'll be willing to take two small forwards. We can get one in the transfer market and one from the high school market. We already have guys who can bring the ball up. We need guys who can knock down the shots from the wing. Naww I'll pass on all of them if they all got to play point guard. Why are you assuming Tyler is a HM PG and we don't need a true PG? You also are assuming we will only have 2 schollies. The scholly situation always works itself out. I've heard that said before (scholarships always work themselves out) but I don't like that premise because it implies players have to transfer. I don't like the transfer situation as it makes our team unstable and we can never get a footing. So I want us to have as minimal amount of transfers as possible. What is HM? I'm afraid I don't know what that means.

Plenty of teams start or play 2pg's together, and we actually only have one pure pg on the roster. Both Rice and Brumbaugh are pg's also If Rice is a point guard, we don't need him either. I can dig it, but the staff knows what they need better than you or I, and it appears they want a big guard that can play on and off ball.

Not drive this too off target the thread but this is Rice’s absolute last year with king and Carey really having another each but at their ages I would be shocked if they both stay for another year as grads so there is a good chance of 3, without transfers

Back on track now, I think Rowan would be a very good pull, Rice seemed to really drop off interest for while a bit ago and the whole VT thing so whatever, if Lloyd is good with not always being the main man of them he could be a very very good player to have (who should decide fairly soon I hope which would be another step to figuring things out either way), and I am def in the department that we need to think about large forwards and ones that can shoot at least until someone shows up this season being the guy but we still need more

What is HM? I'm afraid I don't know what that means. HM = high major (Division I) program...

Some of these position descriptions dont mean anything presently. I think we have plenty who can play the wing and shooting guard. I look forward to a 6-9/6-10 power forward. I think we have a good corps of guys especially if everyone is strong. Hopefully the chemistry will meld together.

If Dante can grow into the position, why can't Tyler who actually played the point guard position more than Dante in high school from the looks of their high school tapes. We need a couple of small forwards 6-7 to 6-9 types who can shoot on the wings and attack the basket. We don't need anymore small dudes especially if they want to play point guard. We got enough already!

Hell if we have the season that I'm expecting there could be a lot of players having draft worthy seasons. IMO... Dante was his team's PG in HS. He was a scoring PG but he did in fact run the show for 2yrs in Tennessee. Tyler switched over last year and still played more of a combo. I also believe Dante's handle was much better than Tyler's at the same stage. I looked at Dante and saw something closer to Kel while I look at Tyler and see something closer to Jagan. HM= High Major or D1....

Georgetown: “I'm being recruited by the whole staff but the lead recruiter is coach Akbar. He's a great guy and I've been talking with him since my freshman year so we've always had a great relationship. I've also taken a visit to Georgetown that went really well. I didn't even need to stay in a hotel since I live so close to campus so it was good to visit the hometown school and get to speak with coach Ewing and the staff.” “They love guards who can really shoot and stretch the floor and big point guards so they think I could make an immediate impact.”

Can’t stop any more local than a couple blocks from the gates. I am just really shocked at how he still is unranked and unrated on 247, is he or the league/team just that under the radar or something?

Saxby's was Sugar's drugstore (with a breakfast/lunch counter) back in my day. I used to ride the bus in from PG County, walk up from Wisconsin and O and generally stop for an English muffin and cup of coffee before my first class. The counter ladies were named Marie and Cincinnati. They always made me feel welcomed.

If he's that close, the team should be inviting him any time they're playing in the Thompson Center.

Otherwise, a good idea. Perhaps it could be done informally and off the books...

He might be too close. Not too many kids want to go to college 200 yards from home.
