Pat will be happy to see Willard and Steele go after his teams had 4 wins and 9 losses (h 3-2, a 0-5, n 1-2) head-to-head against Willard’s teams, and 2-4 vs Steele’s.

I don't know, those are pretty good records for Ewing. Sad, but true…. Wright (Villanova): 2-9 (home 1-4, away 0-5, neutral 1-0) McDermott (Creighton): 3-8 (h 1-4, a 1-4, n 1-0) Jordan (Butler): 4-6 (h 1-4, a 3-2) Hurley (UConn): 0-4 (h 0-2, a 0-2) Leitao (DePaul): 4-3 (h 2-1, a 2-2) Stubblefield (DePaul): 0-2 (h 0-1, a 0-1) Wojciechowski (Marquette) 2-6 (h 0-4, a 1-2, n 1-0) Smart (Marquette): 0-2 (h 0-1, a 0-1) Cooley (Providence): 3-6 (h 2-3, a 1-3) Willard (Seton Hall): 4-9 (h 3-2, a 0-5, n 1-2) Mullin (SJU): 3-2 (h 1-1, a 2-0, n 0-1) Anderson (SJU): 3-4 (h 2-1, a 1-2, n 0-1) Mack (Xavier): 0-2 (h 0-1, a 0-1) Steele (Xavier): 2-4 (h 2-1, a 0-3)

Why, it's Donut Boy from Arizona....Ask yourself, why'd he leave there?

The BE is going to be stacked with competitive coaches. It’s going to make it harder for us to get above .500

What would've sent me further over the edge I've already fallen off of would have been if someone in the BE got Gates bc that was just such an easy choice for his new job
Also glad Golden went to Florida instead of the BE which is a little surprising due to him being a West Coast guy but seems like Florida sees the potential as a big national type coach and he does seem to have the knowhow and a smart guy very analytics and plays an appealing style and I didnt know San Francisco finished in the kenpom TOP 25 which is pretty impressive.

Was Holloway getting this kind of attention before the tourney?

Was Holloway getting this kind of attention before the tourney? Would assume not. His record before winning the MAAC tournament and this in incredible run was good but not especially notable. I’d imagine SH has been giving him a look for a while just due to his ties to the school.

I’d imagine SH has been giving him a look for a while just due to his ties to the school. He was getting some buzz given he had this team playing well despite their threadbare budget. Pitino had talked him up during the year. That being said, I think the thought was he was in the running for a next tier job like an A10 gig (GW, UMass, etc). But then this run just pushed it to the next level. Ironically had Iona not been upset in the MAAC, none of this really happens. St Peter’s was 12-11 prior to this winning streak and was nothing more than a top third MAAC team until this.

He’s been next in line at SHU since he took St. Pete’s job.
