So yesterday’s matchups went as bad as possible for the Hoyas. We lost, and pretty much went 0/4 in desired outcomes for the other games. Playing MU in the 8/9 game was the worst base scenario in my mind given the many other possibilities. While I think we would have been favored over Butler, I bet we are an underdog here. I hate Quette and I hate that we lost to them more. I want to play Quette because I think we should have beat them the first time and we are playing better now. I hope the team is ready to play on Wednesday. Redemption time. We are a better team than when we faced Marquette the first time. We can and should beat them. Wont be easy but nothing is gonna be easy when you’re the 8 seed. I do think we have a punchers chance at the Final with Nova hurting right now and how the rest of the bracket wound up. But this is why I’ve learned I can’t do March madness brackets with Georgetown in the tournament- I always talk myself into why they can win a certain matchup.

We have proven we can compete with any team in this conference. We’ve beaten everybody we got 2 games in against except Nova and UConn and we still competed in 3 of those 4 games. Anything CAN happen. Let’s get crazy.
Dare to dream

Anything CAN happen. Let’s get crazy. Dare to dream We also have won one game outside of McD sans DePaul. This team can compete with anyone (though maybe not UConn) and could lose to anyone just as easily. Pretty much this team lives and dies by two categories - 3s (ours and our opponents) and Turnovers. 3s can be random while TOs seem to more systemic. So if shooting falls our way then I could see us reeling off 2-3 wins. Problem is our track record at MSG, Marquette’s recent improved play, and their dominance over us over the last few years have me feeling less optimistic than most. I hope I am wrong

Steele is not a good coach. The Big East currently has several bad coaches: Leitao Ewing Wojo Steele Cooley Leitao’s gone after this year. Wojo is on thin ice. Ewing will be gone after next year, if he doesn’t quit this offseason. The purging of the bad coaches will be a good thing for the Big East. Your quotes always make me laugh like why would Ewing quit in the off-season? There are definitely some below average coaches in the BE but you’re just hilarious at this point Wishful thinking on boya's part. He realizes Ewing actually did a pretty goid job coaching this year's team, and will make boya's assurances of failure look foolish over the next couple of years.

The table is set for a run to the semis. We gotta beat Marquette & Nova and then I'll view the season as a major success. Lose in round one and we still don't have that monkey off our back.

Lose in Round 1 and I believe Ewing would join Oliver Purnell and Dave Leitao as the only BE Coaches in history to lose their first 4 BET games.

pretty weak. sat him in a meaningless game and then reinstated. I don't think this is over.

It's amazing how the Hoyas on the schedule is the basketball equivalent of a Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

In our favor is the fact that it is very very difficult to beat a Big East team 3 times in one season (Nova). Great win today!

I posted this in the game thread but should have posted in the Tourney thread, See you tomorrow at noon:
Congratulations on a dominating effort today, I think Georgetown will give Nova fits tomorrow with their size and length and I think Wahab is just a superstar flat out waiting to happen. This game tomorrow is bringing back memories when Villanova was the underdog and Georgetown was the favorite and quite frankly that is how I see the game tomorrow. Congratulations on the win.

Just filled out a BET Tournament bracket and went with our Hoyas to win it all.
I am a mad man.

Xavier led by as many as 19. Down to 3 now against Butler with 5:30 to go.
